At Least Someone Did Herself Up In The Theme!

May 2, 2017 / Posted by:

Every year, there’s always a giant chunk of celebrities at the Met Gala who completely wet fart on the theme and go with their own, which is usually: Rejected Dresses Leftover From Awards Season. Even Anna Wintour showed up to this year’s Met Gala in some dusty dress that Carol Channing definitely wore a million times better in the 1960s (see: Anna Wintour in the gallery below looking like a sad lamp from Liberace’s least favorite guest room). While watching the Vogue live feed of the Met Gala last night, some bland, I forgot who, said something about how she wanted to be comfortable. Bitch, if you want to be comfortable, stay at home in your sweats and t-shirt and watch the live feed while sitting on your futon like the rest of us do! You’re doing the Met Gala completely wrong if it doesn’t take six assistants, a registered nurse, a long plastic hose, a thing of KY and a janitor with a mop to help you piss.

But in last night’s sea of basic (see: the sea of basic in the gallery after the cut), there were a few bright spots of fuckery who actually paid attention in class when the theme was given. Enter: RiRi!

Thankfully A Bit More Effort Was Put Into The Fashions After The Oscars

February 27, 2017 / Posted by:

We all know that when it comes to dressing for the Oscars, everyone takes it very seriously. They put on a tux or fancy gown that definitely didn’t come with a check attached to the garment bag. Most of the time the result is a one-way ticket to Zzzzzz town (see: a good 75% of the looks from last night). But then everyone gets to let loose at Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar afterparty and put on what they really want to wear (see: The Gold Standard). Like many people at the Vanity Fair party, Diane Kruger wasn’t at the Oscars and she showed up wearing that.

Open Post: Hosted By Demi Moore, Who Seemed To Forget That Halloween Is Over

November 4, 2016 / Posted by:

Last night was the Los Angeles premiere of Hedwig and the Angry Inch starring Darren Criss (all together: groooooan) and it brought out Demi Moore who was dressed like she accidentally stumbled onto the carpet while searching for a juice box and a cookie. You know, there may be a very good reason for why Demi Moore looks like a middle-aged Anna from Frozen in a half-assed Dennis the Menace disguise. That woman next to Demi is her friend, costume designer Arianne Phillips, so maybe the two are working on an updated reboot of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and Demi plays Mary Hartman who lives her life as though she’s trapped in a Snapchat filter (see: flower crown) and considers Stewie from Family Guy her fashion icon. Demi is trying to be all method so she wore her costume out. Yeah, that must be it…

Courtney Love was also there last night and she looked pretty good. When you’re at the same event as Courtney Love and Courtney Love looks less messy than you, it’s time for a long talk with God….or your stylist.

Open Post: Hosted By The “Power Rangers” Trailer

October 9, 2016 / Posted by:

They didn’t even include “Mighty Morphin’“! This is respect-free! The trailer for Power Rangers has dropped, and my condolences if your childhood was killed in the blast. Everything’s very serious now and someone cloned Zac Efron. Elizabeth Banks and Bryan Cranston must both want a bigger summer mansion in St. Barts next year, so they’re involved. That’s Elizabeth murdering the classic Rita Repulsa character and wearing her skin to menace CW fodder at 1:52.

As we’ve discovered in this year’s presidential election, nothing is sacred.

Watch the Power Rangers trailer below.

Okay, So Jane Fonda Saved That All-Celebrity “Fight Song” Video

July 27, 2016 / Posted by:

Sure, dried drop of urethral pus Donald Trump mouth shat up another batshit crazy dingle today when he called for Russia to hack Hillary Clinton, but here at Dlisted, we only post about the most important political news, so here’s the video of a bunch of famous and famous-esque people singing Rachel Platten’s little-known, unheard pop single “Fight Song.”

Jabba the Trump had the USA Freedom Kids (whose manager is threatening to throw a lawsuit at the Trump campaign for violating an agreement) and Hillary Clinton has a bunch of celebrities singing “Fight Song” on the old set of The Branchy Bunch’s intro. The Los Angeles Times says that Elizabeth Banks put together as many pro-Hillary celebs as she could to sing in a video for the DNC. The likes of Aisha Tyler, Mandy Moore, Rob Reiner, Connie Britton, Kathy Najimy, Julie Bowen, Hana Mae Lee, America Ferrera, John Michael Higgins, Kristen Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Billy Porter, Sia, Dollar Tree Victorian cameo Jaime King (who really, really took it seriously) and a bunch of others warbled out a cover of “Fight Song” that made my face contort into the cringe position. I cringed, cringed and cringed some more.

For the first minute, I thought to myself, “You all are NOT helping!”, but that all changed when the music stopped and Jane Fonda talk-sang for her life!

Leave it to Jane Fonda to save it all. But if you watched that video above, you know that Jane wasn’t the only one who really delivered. About 90 seconds in, Ellen Greene (aka Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors) popped up in impeccable Louise Brooks cosplay and delivered a stirring, raw and melodramatic re-telling of “Fight Song.” That is how it’s done.

God, I love theater people.

Open Post: Hosted By Elizabeth Banks In Full Rita Repulsa Drag

April 26, 2016 / Posted by:

Last week, whoever is responsible for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie released a publicity picture of Elizabeth Banks as villainess bad bitch Rita Repulsa, and I think it put a rash on my eyeballs, because she looked like a mutated Poison Ivy. Well, now here’s a bunch of pictures from the Canadian set in Vancouver of Elizabeth Banks’ full costume, and I don’t really see a mutated Poison Ivy anymore. I see Lady CaCa circa Born This Way in a costume that was inspired by the aloe vera plant she had an intense conversation with while tripping on LSD. Like I said yesterday, I was on a boat this weekend and got a sunburn, so I just want to reach through the screen, rip off a piece of Rita’s aloe vera costume and rub it on my skin.

I also see a bunch of She-Ra action figures mashed up into one, and that makes me sad. Because I wish that Hollywood would’ve done a She-Ra movie instead of a damn Power Rangers movie. It’s not too late! They can still scrap that Power Rangers shit, and use the costumes to make 80s dreams come true by doing a She-Ra movie. I mean, with just a few tweaks, Elizabeth’s busted Rita Repulsa costume can be changed into a gorgeous Double Trouble costume!

Please, Hollywood, make this happen. Do something right for once!
