Celebrities Stunted From Home For The 72nd Emmys “Red Carpet”

September 21, 2020 / Posted by:

The Emmys happened last night despite nobody being allowed near each other due to coronavirus still spreading through humanity one TikTok party mansion at a time. A few celebrities (like Jennifer Aniston, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laverne Cox, etc…) showed up at the Staples Center to present, but most celebrities stayed home. The ceremonial red carpet was switched up and the famous people just took their own pics and posted them themselves. Their choice of professional photography and they don’t have to make small talk with whatever half-peasant correspondent was put in front of them? Talk about a big win.

Glamour, Thy Name Is Oscars

February 10, 2020 / Posted by:

I’m fucking kidding of course. This year’s Oscars red carpet was about as glamorous as a back alley gluteal augmentation. Not even red carpet darling Billy Porter could save this parade of half-baked ideas which ranged from Saoirse Ronan’s front butt ruffle to Laura Dern’s titty-tassels. The real kicker is that, for reasons I will never accept, Blac Chyna was invited to pose for hundreds of pictures looking like a second string (ok, twelfth string) Cruella de Vil who smothered Cookie Monster with her bosom, skinned him with her talons and used his pelt for this dress. Meanwhile, the cast of Best Picture winning Parasite, were only photographed together in a group. The fuck? At least they let them use the slo-mo cam which is a big improvement on Giuliana Rancic’s (below, go easy on her, she’s dealing with some intestinal distress) Mani-Cam of yore.

There Probably Won’t Be A Season 2 Of “Watchmen”

January 17, 2020 / Posted by:

*Possible (mild) spoilers for season 1 ahead.

It looks like we’ll never get to see an enormous Regina King fuck shit up with a 12-inch blue strap-on as Dr. Manhattan because Watchmen will almost certainly not be coming back for a second season. According to USA Today, the show’s creator Damon Lindelof decided to bounce while the bouncing was good. Which is perhaps a blessing considering he still probably gets hate mail for shitting the bed on those last couple seasons of Lost.

January 13, 2020 / Posted by:

Award season turned onwards as the 2020 Critics Choice came in to give away all the awards which have been given by the “critics”. Of course in today’s social media age a critic is just someone with a wi-fi connection, but these critics in particular are like special, or something–so you better listen up because I’m gonna tell you who won and so they’re blessed for the coming year with a boost to their paychecks and asking-potential. Also I’m gonna comment on their clothing choices–Journalism!

Regina King Accepted Her First Oscar With A Little Help From Chris Evans

February 25, 2019 / Posted by:

I have been rocking with Regina King ever since she played Brenda on 227 back in the day. My love for her only intensified when she voiced both Huey and Riley Freeman from my forever favorite series The Boondocks. However, last night she chalked the deuces up to whatever she played in before If Beale Street Could Talk because you can now add Academy Award Winner to her name after snagging the Best Supporting Actress award. And as you already know, King Regina is the master when it comes to acceptance speeches.

Open Post: Hosted By Lady Gaga Holding A Dead Turkey

January 9, 2019 / Posted by:

You may have read that headline and looked at that picture and thought, “I don’t see her holding a copy of Artpop.

The National Board of Review ceremony happened in NYC last night, and the winners were announced in November, so Lady Gaga already knew she won Best Actress. She didn’t have to worry about straining her Botoxed face muscles while trying to look happy as either Glenn Close or Olivia Colman took the win. A Star Is Born also won one National Board of Review awards for Bradley Cooper (Best Director), and one for Sam Elliott (Best Supporting Actor). Regina King was also there last night to accept the Best Supporting Actress award, and the cast of Crazy Rich Asians showed up to collect their trophy for Best Ensemble.
