Mary J. Blige, Keanu Reeves, Zendaya, Joe Rogan And Kris Jenner All Made The Time 100 List Of The World’s Most Influential People

May 23, 2022 / Posted by:

Last year Prince Harry and Meghan Markle graced the cover of Time Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world and since then, have done jack shit in the way of influence. They were featured in the Icons section, but those tricks can’t even launch an Instagram page let alone a revolution. So Time gave them the year off to get their shit together and Mary J. Blige has taken their place as the face of the Time 100’s Icons section. Mary shares the honor with Issa Rae, Keanu Reeves, Jon Batiste, and Adele plus a couple of people who actually worked for the accolade. And because you can’t even get the “Uh” out of Adele without James Corden popping up out of nowhere like a singing telegram sent by the devil himself, James wrote Adele’s intro and used it as an excuse to brag about her “singing in the kitchen, or belting at the top of her voice solely to make [his] children laugh.” It’s like, we get it, James, she’s your bestie. But if she’s so influential, then explain what happened to your career?

Oprah Winfrey Says She Didn’t Leave Her Home For 322 Days During The Pandemic

May 1, 2022 / Posted by:

Back at the start of COVID, the world was locked down for months. It looked like there was no end in sight. But once the vaccine hit, we cautiously emerged from our toilet paper and sourdough starter-filled homes and saw the streets once again. However, one person didn’t join us in our great return to Applebee’s: Oprah Winfrey! She recently revealed that she locked herself indoors for almost a year. That’s right, coronavirus made the world’s greatest talk show host into the world’s greatest hermit.

The Cast For The Upcoming Movie Musical Adaptation Of “The Color Purple” Has Been Announced

February 4, 2022 / Posted by:

Black History Month just got a little Blacker and more historical with the cast announcement for the upcoming Oprah Winfrey-produced movie musical The Color Purple which is based on the hit Broadway musical which was based on Steven Spielberg’s Quincy Jones produced-and-scored 1985 movie which was based on Alice Walker’s Pulitzer Prize-winning 1982 novel. Of course, soon-to-be household name Oprah co-starred in the movie playing Sofia and now, almost 40 years later, she’s calling Danielle Brooks on the phone and yelling “Sofia, So-FEEE-AAHHHHH!! It’s your day!” Then she probably called up Fantasia, Colman Domingo, Taraji P. Henson, Halle Bailey, Corey Hawkins, and H.E.R. and was all “And YOU GET PART and YOU GET A PART and YOU GET A PART!!!” because they did, they all got parts.

Oprah Threw Out Half A Cake To “Reset” Her Healthy Eating

January 12, 2022 / Posted by:

Gayle King turned 67 over the holidays. To celebrate the occasion, bestie Oprah and her live-in fleet of culinary experts prepared a special Bananas Foster cake for the birthday girl. But two full weeks later, the leftover cake continued to exist in Oprah’s fridge. Watching her. Taunting her. Plotting her demise? “Eat me, Oprah. Put me insiiide youuu.” Yesterday Oprah said “ENOUGH!” and pulled a Miranda Hobbes: she chucked that wretched cake in the garbage. Continue reading

Oprah Is Distancing Herself From Dr. Oz’s Senate Campaign

December 29, 2021 / Posted by:

Dr. Mehmet Oz is currently running as a Republican in Pennsylvania’s Senate race, which has caused him to end his talk show. Oprah is to blame for Oz at least since she brought him up on The Oprah Winfrey Show and then helped him launch his own The Dr. Oz Show. But she’s not endorsing him because that would be a bad look. She could always tell him who her PR person is though, because Dr. Oz and his wife Lisa Oz are apparently so bad at media communications that they didn’t hang up on a reporter before talking shit about her, so she heard it all.

CBS Will Air An Adele Concert Special And Oprah Interview Ahead Of The Release Of “30”

October 18, 2021 / Posted by:

After having been through a divorce, I think a lot of people are counting on Adele to make them feel something, anything, other than the abject terror and grief that’s marked the past couple of years. At this point, a little good old-fashioned conventional heartbreak comes as a relief. And Adele is poised to deliver with her latest album 30, the first single of which, Easy on Me, is already being practiced by sad drunks in the mirror who are ready to absolutely kill it the minute karaoke comes back. And by “kill it” I mean send everybody in the joint who came for a good time to the bathroom and then to the bar to get another drink. In the meantime, the sad drunks can get their fix with an upcoming prime-time concert special and exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey. So sad drunks rejoice! Shit’s about to get melancholic as fuck.
