Much Like The Socially Distanced Celebrities, The Fashions Of The MTV EMAs Were All Over The Place
The MTV European Music Awards were yesterday and the show was a virtual socially-distanced affair like most award shows these days. It was not held in one single city and instead film from locations all over the world. Even though award shows look different now the celebrities have quickly acclimatized and have started perfecting the green-screen red carpet. As such the celebs stunted from their mansions and garages and private islands (I’m just assuming) to serve award-show chic!
“Why Bother?” Was The Primary Fashion Takeaway At Last Night’s MTV VMAs
Well, MTV has done it! They’ve shown that you can put on a star-studded spectacle in the middle of a global pandemic and proved beyond a doubt that it’s a very dumb idea. MTV dared to do what the other girls wouldn’t and risked everybody’s health by inviting confirmed disease vector Doja Cat (who really should have that glowing fish whistle looked at) and others to walk a virtual red carpet set up for last night’s MTV VMAs. Was it worth it? Well, let me put it this way. No.
The Questionable Choices Of The Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet
The Teen Choice Awards always draws a perplexing crowd of adults and very few actual teens. And the adults these unseen teens have chosen this year only reaffirms the stereotype that teens make questionable choices. And judging from some of these blue carpet looks, it’s not just the teen’s choices we should be questioning. Taylor Swift was awarded the first ever Teen Choice Icon award, and possibly a cease and desist letter from Barbra Eden for stealing her look. What else can I say, one day she looks like Pollyanna, the next day she looks like a rich older lady sitting at a bar in The Forum at Caesar’s Palace working on her fourth whiskey sour and her third husband. The Celebrities At The “Brit Awards” Came To Party (Party City, That Is)
Advance apologies to our British readers, but I don’t know who any of your “celebrities” are unless they are Dames, Sirs, Katie Price or Idris Elba. I may have no idea who Rita Ora is, but ya’ll sure do know how to put the “F” in Fashion (if the F stands for “fuck is this?”). The Brit Awards, Britain’s equivalent to The Grammys, were last night and apparently, the theme for the red carpet was “Party at Party City“. There were enough pinatas, clown suits, vinyl tablecloths, crepe paper ruffles, and discounted Halloween costumes on display to stock every single party store in Britain for the next millennium.
