A Whole Lot Of People Are Speaking Out About Harvey Weinstein
Sorry, I should clarify: a whole lot of women and a couple dudes. For some reason, the men of Hollywood aren’t exactly rushing to pipe up with their thoughts about the recent dump of sexual harassment allegations against Harvey Weinstein. Which I’m sure is just because they dropped their cellphones in the toilet and have no current means of communication, and not because they had been benefiting from doing business with the alleged creepy shower enthusiast. But for now, we’ve got the thoughts from plenty of actresses and a couple actors, including George Clooney.

Cate Blanchett was at the Tony Awards in NYC last night, because she’s making her Broadway debut later this year in a show that isn’t Hamilton. (I know, why are other shows even bothering?) Judging by that butchered-up look on Cate Blanchett’s body, I’m guessing that she was also there, because she knew that most thi-turr people play it safe by wearing the most boring dress at Lord & Taylor, so she needed to give the public something that’ll hurt their eyeballs and make their retinas curl. In an article on The Hollywood Reporter about her return to Broadway in A Delicate Balance, Glenn Close says that up until the age of 22, she was injecting the Kool-Aid by the gallon while being part of a cult called the Moral Re-Armament. MRA was founded and ran by Rev. Frank Buchman whom THR describes as “a violently anti-intellectual and possibly homophobic evangelical fundamentalist from Pennsylvania.” Frank told his followers that only those with special guidance from God were sin-free and it was their responsibility as humans to change others. If you change the word “God” to “Angelina Jolie,” that right there would be the Brangeloonie life motto. Actually, it would be the motto of many religions.
