Well, Keanu has done it again, and by “it,” I mean be nice to one of his kid fans. Listen, in this day and age, many famous types are throbbing assholes, so when a celebrity is nice and personable, it’s BREAKING NEWS! Besides, the world can never have enough sweet Keanu content in it. But be warned, watching the sweet clip may cause your dead heart to feel things as your blood sugar levels go up.

Like, off the top of my head, if you asked me what the John Wick movies are about, I’d just list a bunch of things like Keanu Reeves, dogs, guns, swords, rain, code words, horses, museum display cases, and Halle Berry that one time. The “plot” is so ephemeral and unimportant, they’re essentially impressionist paintings of murder and mayhem. The trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 is no different, except it’s got Bill Skarsgård that one time instead of Halle Berry, and my impression is that it looks like a Pissarro. And I’m gonna watch the shit out of it just like I have the previous three. This means I’ll probably also watch the Degas -nspired spin-off Ballerina starring Ana de Armas, in which Keanu “is expected to make an appearance,” to see if he can help Ana break the curse we can only assume Jennifer Lynn Affleck placed upon her career.

Other than Dolly Parton, you’d be hard-pressed to name a celebrity more universally beloved than the Internet’s Boyfriend (2019 – ‘til the wheels fall off and we’re back to stanning via tin cans tied together with a string) Keanu Reeves. However, Matthew Perry apparently hates the dude. And here I thought the big, terrible thing referenced in Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, the addiction memoir Matthew’s currency hawking, was his addiction. But considering Matthew’s seemingly unfounded detest for the man who would not only never hurt a fly, but would probably befriend a fly and let it live in his guest house rent-free until it could get back on his wings, I think the Big Terrible Thing in Matthew’s book might be Keanu himself.

For a person who’s been in Hollywood as long as he has, I think people always find it shocking yet refreshing that Keanu seems like a normal nice dude. Keanu has won over the cold hearts of many an icy betch by doing things like keeping his hands to himself, taking fellow stranded plane passengers on a Bakersfield bus tour, having a significant other that’s his own age (in Hollywood in 2022?!), and looking melancholy while eating ice cream in solitude at a Baskin Robbins (after leaving a great tip, of course). This time, Keanu once again proved that he’s a kind, patient, thoughtful soul after a moment with a young fan in the airport baggage claim ended up going viral.

Last year Prince Harry and Meghan Markle graced the cover of Time Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world and since then, have done jack shit in the way of influence. They were featured in the Icons section, but those tricks can’t even launch an Instagram page let alone a revolution. So Time gave them the year off to get their shit together and Mary J. Blige has taken their place as the face of the Time 100’s Icons section. Mary shares the honor with Issa Rae, Keanu Reeves, Jon Batiste, and Adele plus a couple of people who actually worked for the accolade. And because you can’t even get the “Uh” out of Adele without James Corden popping up out of nowhere like a singing telegram sent by the devil himself, James wrote Adele’s intro and used it as an excuse to brag about her “singing in the kitchen, or belting at the top of her voice solely to make [his] children laugh.” It’s like, we get it, James, she’s your bestie. But if she’s so influential, then explain what happened to your career?
