No, Oprah Has Not Been Arrested For Sex Trafficking
Considering #thesetryingtimes (which have quickly morphed into #theseuncertaintimes), it’s hard to know what to believe anymore. Between the conspiracy theories, hoaxes, everything that comes out of Donald Trump’s mouth, and the truth— it seems like nothing, and anything, is possible. That’s why when you see Oprah Winfrey trending on Twitter, you might easily believe that she’d tested positive for coronavirus, or that she somehow bought her way onto the democratic ticket and is now running for president, or even that a sex tape featuring her and Gayle King had surfaced. But to hear that Oprah’s house was raided and she’s been arrested for child sex trafficking? Come the fuck on. But also, WHAT?! But mostly, come the fuck on. Obviously that didn’t happen, but enough people believed and/or spread this story, that Oprah had to walk the three miles from her sitting room to her foyer to tweet out a denial.

We knew his Man of the Woods shtick wouldn’t last. Justin Timberlake has left the flannel behind and is black to his old ways (not a typo), leaning heavily into his “urban” persona. On a recent appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, Justin sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, Sza and Anderson .Paak (also not a typo, I swear) to talk about some Trolls shit, and proceeded to blow the afro wig right off the head of Al Jolson’s ghost. But as we know, minstralsy isn’t Justin’s only special talent. He also managed to sideline a Black woman in the process by completely over-talking Sza when Ellen asked her about her recent Rolling Stone cover. According to Cosmopolitan, Black twitter has had enough. Justin’s going to have to eat all that potato salad he bought from Whole Foods himself because apparently, he’s not invited to the cookout this year.

As if The View wasn’t already a dystopian nightmare fueled by Meghan McCain’s toxic fumes, here comes the COVID-19 pandemic to really put a button in it. According to Deadline, The View is just one of many daytime TV staples forgoing a live studio audience “out of an abundance of caution,” which is a phrase so prevalent these days, it might just eclipse “thoughts and prayers” in our national discourse. Joining The View in an hollow studio to perform a pantomime of breezy nonchalance are Live With Kelly and Ryan, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Tamron Hall, The Wendy Williams Show, Rachael Ray, and Dr. Phil. Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will also be lighting up that “applause” button for absolutely no one.
Snoop Dogg Has Apologized To Gayle King For His Tirade Against Her Over Her Kobe Bryant Questions
Snoop Dogg has issued an apology to Gayle King on Instagram for calling her a “funky dog-head bitch” (Siba would like A WORD) and possibly threatening her (depending on who you ask) in the wake of CBS airing a clip of the interview Gayle did with Lisa Leslie, a WNBA star and close friend of the recently deceased Kobe Bryant. Snoop’s initial tirade was directed at both Gayle and her BFF Oprah Winfrey (and concluded with the statement “Free Bill Cosby” which was applauded by Bill Cosby himself on Twitter from prison). That caused Oprah to take precious time away from promoting her controversial book club selection to defend Gayle on Today and let us know that Gayle had been receiving death threats over the matter.
