“Cinderella” Starring Camila Cabello Was The #1 Streamed Movie This Weekend
Well, I guess terrorizing the streets of Los Angeles paid off because Deadline reports that Amazon Prime’s girl boss version of Cinderella starring Camila Cabello was watched by 1.1 million households in the U.S. over the Labor Day weekend. So clearly while some people had the day off from work, Satan was quite busy with his dark machinations.

James Corden truly hates the drivers of Los Angeles and answers, “Nope!”, to the question, “Haven’t the drivers of Los Angeles been through enough?!” Because he already terrorizes the streets of Los Angeles by unleashing yodeling famous people on them with Carpool Karaoke, and he struck again on Friday. James and his co-stars from future Razzie sweeper, Amazon’s Cinderella, busted out a flash mob in front of traffic stopped at a red light in West Hollywood. James (who plays a footman/mouse), Camila Cabello (Cinderella), Idina Menzel (Cinderella’s stepmother), Billy Porter (Cinderella’s fairy godparent), and others all got dressed up as their Cinderella characters to sing and shake their asses to Jennifer Lopez’s Let’s Get Loud in the middle of the street. Some drivers probably thought to themselves, “A flash mob? Did I just drive into 2005?” as others used every will in their being to resist the urge to hit that gas pedal hard and careen out of that mess.
Jennifer Aniston And David Schwimmer Admitted They Had A Crush On Each Other, And Other Moments From The “Friends” Reunion Special
The reviews for the Friends reunion special are in, and well, it certainly happened. The whole gang was there: Matthew Perry, Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. And as we saw in the trailer, they sat on a couch in front of the Friends fountain, and host James Corden was there to “toss softballs at the cast and cackle hysterically at mundane gossip” which contributed “to the perception of ‘Friends’ as shallow and superficial,” per Indiewire.
Esquire called James “a giant toddler in a velvet suit” and NPR said he was in “soul-sucking phone-it-in mode” and “comes off as a man reading off cards for money.” But hey, at least Lady Gaga was there with a gospel choir, (4 of whom were Black!) to sing Smelly Cat with Lisa, and special guest Justin Bieber didn’t have a speaking part. So it wasn’t all bad! Overall, the Friends reunion earned double FF on its report card. Which stands for Friends Forever — even though Lisa and Courteney both made it absolutely crystal clear that this would never, ever, ever happen again.
Prince Harry Made His Late-Night Show Debut (Featuring A FaceTime Cameo By Meghan Markle)
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have their big 90-minute exclusive CBS interview with Oprah Winfrey scheduled for next Sunday. And normally you wouldn’t see a royal type pop into a late-night TV show segment with James Corden, but Harry isn’t a royal regular anymore, remember? So Harry made a surprise appearance on Thursday’s episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden, where he drank some tea on a Los Angeles tour bus, rapped the lyrics to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, and talked a little bit of shit about the British press. Hey, I said a little – he’s got to save something for next Sunday with Oprah.
Master Archie Has Graced His Mom And Dad’s Little Podcast With His Voice
About two weeks ago, we all found out that Prince Hot Ginge and Meghan Markle followed up their multi-million dollar Netflix deal with a multi-million dollar Spotify deal. And today they put out their first podcast episode for Spotify and it’s a “holiday special” that features a bunch of their famous friends like Sir Elton John, Tyler Perry, and James Corden. Meghan’s neighbor and BFF Oprah does not make an appearance, and probably because The Mighty O didn’t even want to bother since she knew that everyone was just going to fast forward through the episode to get to the only star of it: 18-month-old Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor! Ginger Archie slobbers out a few words and giggles at the end of the episode. All headlines about Harry and Meghan’s episode focus on Archie and he’s probably the sole reason why anybody listened! Master Archie ENDED all podcasts without even trying!

I watched this new trailer for the Ryan Murphy’s take on the Broadway musical The Prom for Netflix and thought, “oh, so it’s like if Ryan Murphy did Glee” and it took me waaaaay too long to remember that Ryan Murphy actually made Glee so now I guess I’ll say “oh, it’s like if 2010 Ryan Murphy had 2020 Ryan Murphy money plus Meryl Streep!” Or maybe since Nicole Kidman is in it, it’s more like, “oh, so it’s Baz Luhrmann Presents: Glee.” At any rate The Prom is very, very shiny.
