Rihanna Explains Why She Chose To Do The Super Bowl Halftime Show After Previously Saying She Never Would

February 10, 2023 / Posted by:

This weekend there’s going to be a highly anticipated Rihanna comeback concert during some football game (aka the Super Bowl), and people are excited to see if RiRi still entertains crowds like she doesn’t want to be there. And her fans are eagerly awaiting their moment to scream, “Nah Nah Nah Nah Nah COME ON!!” as she struts across the stage for the first time since 2018, but it comes as a bit of a surprise since she originally said she would NEVER do the Halftime show. Those days are over now for a multitude of reasons. One of them being a possible world tour.

Rihanna Will Headline The Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show

September 26, 2022 / Posted by:

Rihanna, who turned down the Halftime show a few years back because of the NFL‘s treatment of Colin Kaepernick, has changed her mind and will headline the Super Bowl LVII Halftime show. That news came after the rumor that Taylor Swift was in talks to headline was shot down as false. The RiRi news is interesting considering fans have been waiting for new music for YEARS. No wonder there have been pap photos of her at the recording studio recently; she probably signed up for this and was like: “Oh shit! That reggae album I told everybody I was working on!”

Fans Of Taylor Swift Are Convinced That The NFL Hinted That She’s The Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show Performer, But A Source Said It’s Not True

September 23, 2022 / Posted by:

Taylor Swift operates as an enigma wrapped in a red scarf and metaphors, so it’s no surprise that her fans, the Swifties, took something seemingly meaningless and thought it would give them one more opportunity to bask in the strawberry-scented fumes of her environmentally catastrophic private jet. This time, TMZ said that the NFL provided Swifties with speculation fuel because they released a press release at midnight announcing that their new Super Bowl sponsor is Apple Music. As we know, Taylor is releasing an album on October 21 (which is also enemy Kim Kardashian’s birthday, oooooh, burn!) called Midnights and has released new music at midnight in the past, so since she’s claimed ownership of 12 a.m., the fans were convinced that the NFL’s choice must hold some type of Swiftnificance in the way of the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. But, now sources are also claiming that she will NOT be performing.

Jennifer Lopez Says That Co-Headlining The Super Bowl Halftime Show Was “The Worst Idea In The World” In Her Netflix Documentary “Halftime”

June 9, 2022 / Posted by:

Netflix is letting Jennifer Lopez give her fans The Full-Beyonce with Halftime, a new documentary that offers a backstage peek into her creative process while mounting her half of the halftime show she shared with Shakira at the 2020 Super Bowl. Fittingly, JLo wore half a dress at Halftime‘s premiere last night at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival. People says JLo was “sizzling” in a Tom Ford “curve-hugging black velvet and sheer floor-length gown,” but I think she looks cold. Thankfully, Halftime: The Movie brings the heat. Once inside the screening, JLo was almost certainly warmed by the opportunity to tell Her Truth about having to split stage time with Shakira (she thought it was “the worst idea in the world.”), her “fight to be taken seriously as an artist” and share an inside look at what it’s like finding out you’ve been snubbed for an Oscar.

The NFL Warned Eminem And Dr. Dre Not To Get Political During The Super Bowl Halftime Show, Which They Did Anyway

February 14, 2022 / Posted by:

The Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show (brought to you by Pepsi) happened last night, as expected, and it went off without a hitch. Dr. Dre was joined by Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent, and Anderson .Paak. No Left Shark here. Except, if you’re the NFL, then you might think that was the biggest PR disaster of a Super Bowl Halftime Show this side of Justin Timberlake’s hand exposing a titty. According to sources, the NFL really didn’t want Dr. Dre to sing one very specific anti-police lyric in “Still D.R.E.“, and they really really didn’t want Eminem to take a knee, a la Colin Kaepernick. That screen shot above might have been the exact moment all those NFL politically-averse control freaks dropped their Pepsis in shock. Because as you can see, Eminem took that knee, and Dr. Dre closed the show with “Still D.R.E.“, with that anti-cop lyric right where it usually is.

The Weeknd Claims There Will Be No Special Guests During His Super Bowl Halftime Show

February 5, 2021 / Posted by:

On Sunday, Pepsi will proudly present the Super Bowl LV Halftime Show, a dazzling display of music, lights, entertainment, and showmanship, that is sandwiched awkwardly in between two halves of a boring-ass football game. The king of this weekend’s Halftime Show razzle-dazzle is none other than the appropriately named, The Weeknd. And only The Weeknd. No one else but The Weeknd will be showing up on the Pepsi Halftime Show stage at the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida this weekend. At least according to The Weeknd.
