Sorry, I should have been a little more specific. After all, the man has been cosplaying as a greasy drunken pirate in his personal life for the past decade or so. I’m referring to the chance that Johnny Depp might once again clip in those little dangly beard braids and toss on about 15 pounds of silver rings to play Captain Jack Sparrow, pirate of the…whatever seas the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise takes place in. There was a rumor going around that Johnny’s big comeback from his career downturn as professional defamation plaintiff would be in an upcoming Pirates film as that beloved salt water-bound weirdo. But according to other sources, nobody should be holding their breath to see Johnny on the big screen doing his best Keith Richards impersonation.

A video from Disneyland Paris is making rounds after a couple attempted and failed a proposal in front of the famous Sleeping Beauty castle. The moment the ring flashed onto the scene, a Disney crew member came up and SNATCHED it right out of the box. I guess the couple did get a magical moment because that Disney employee made that ring disappear!

I’ve already seen 1971’s The Erotic Adventures of Pinocchio which is the only live-action Pinocchio I ever need to see, but since Disney didn’t get paid for that one they’re doing it themselves. In the first teaser trailer for Disney’s Pinocchio, Tom Hanks ditches the Flemish accent from Elvis in favor of a House of Geppetto accent as a creepy old man who gets on his hands and knees and wishes on a star for his wooden puppet to be transformed into a real boy knowing damn well every legitimate adoption agency in the world probably has his picture posted on the wall with the caption “DO NOT ADOPT TO THIS MAN. If you see him, please contact the F.B.I.”
Rachel Zegler Has Accepted The Academy’s Invitation To Present At The Oscars
The most dramatic will they/won’t they of this year’s Oscar season has finally come to an acceptable end, even if one of the parties is likely still more than a little embarrassed at the situation. Rachel Zegler may be playing Snow White in Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation, but less than a week ago she was living an unwanted Cinderella fantasy when she revealed she had not been invited to the ball (aka the 2022 Academy Awards). After that news went viral, the Academy Awards reached out and offered her not just an invitation, but the opportunity to present an award. Well, Rachel has decided to take them up on their offer, and she’s confirmed as a presenter this Sunday.
Raven-Symone Was One Of The Hundreds Of Disney Employees Who Walked Out In Protest Of Disney’s Inaction Regarding Florida’s Don’t Say Gay Bill
Today, The Disney Corporation is finally having to face the “exclusively gay moment” that live-action Beauty and The Beast director Bill Condon promised us several years ago, only now, that gay moment has an LGBTQIA+ posse and allies, and is threatening to become a movement. According to Forbes, hundreds of Disney employees staged a walkout today in opposition to Disney’s handling of Florida’s so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill which “bars instruction on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade,” and would allow parents to sue school districts for any perceived infractions. 75 employees walked out and protested in front of Disney’s studios in Burbank, California, and another 100 protested outside of the Disney Animation Studios Building, also in Burbank. And if you’re saying to yourself “That’s so Raven!,” you’re absolutely right, because Raven-Symone also mounted a protest with cast and crew members of her current Disney show, Raven’s Home, as well. This all spells bad news for Disney CEO Bob Chapek who probably thought he could just pray the gay away as if that shit wasn’t already baked into Disney’s DNA.
