Chet Hanks’ parents, Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks, are back on American soil having returned from Australia where they were being treated for COVID-19 for the past several weeks. According to USA Today, they are “on the mend,” and yesterday in an Instagram post, Rita called herself a “COVID-19 survivor,” which is a humble brag if ever I heard one. I fully expect Rita to record a cover of Destiny’s Child’s Survivor for her next adult contemporary album. Tom announced their return to the U.S. in a tweet saying they will “carry on with sheltering in place and social distancing” with the rest of America. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are doing better after revealing they had coronavirus two weeks ago. Since telling us that they both have corona, they’ve been giving us updates on their condition, and so have their sons. Well, Tom wants us to know that they’re doing great and we should stay inside. And while Tom says that they’re feeling better, it seems like Rita still has a fever, which is the only explanation for her rapping.
