Dr. Oz Challenged Dr. Fauci To A Debate, And The Internet Dragged Him For It
Dr. Mehmet Oz, who notoriously shilled bullshit weight loss lies, is now trying to debate the Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Dr. Fauci is sort of busy dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic that has so far killed more than 947,000 people in the United States alone. But obviously, debating with Dr. Oz takes precedence! And Dr. Oz is confused why Fauci hasn’t responded to his call to debate. Apart from the fact that Dr. Fauci is not running for election as a Republican Senator in Pennsylvania like Oz is, I don’t see how a man who makes a living saving lives would need to debate a man who makes a living teaching daytime TV watchers what a fart is.

Joe Rogan finally said something I agree with when he told people that he’s “not a respected source of information.” Joe, who is not a medical expert, got heat from an actual medical expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, after he told young people not to get the coronavirus vaccine if they’re “like 21,” “healthy,” “exercising all the time” and “eating well.” Yup the cure for coronavirus is eating vegetables on the daily. Clearly, this is dumb advice since coronavirus can, and has, and continues to randomly fuck up the systems of healthy people leaving them with long-lasting medical issues; and hey, other people can catch coronavirus from you and die themselves. So Joe wants us to know that he knows all that and he’s not anti-vax and actually he’s just a moron and we should never listen to him. Agree, completely!

We’re narrowing in on the end of the longest year on record (at least it’s felt like 84 years). And with that comes a million end-of-year lists. We already know that whatever pap-strolling blisters Ana de Armas got over the past nine months paid off in the form of the number one spot on IMDb’s Top Stars list. Spotify Wrapped has generously compiled listeners top 5 most played songs and albums, thus subsequently exposing everyone’s most terrible taste in music. And People magazine has published their 2020 People of the Year issue, about a month after they published their annual People’s Sexiest Man of the Year issue. That’s good timing. There’s no greater honor (for a publicist) than landing a spot on the Time 100, Time Magazine’s publicist prom. Induction into the Time 100 comes with a fancy photo-shoot (for some) and a seemingly randomly assigned essay extolling the winner’s virtue. Ergo, Jimmy Kimmel was selected to write about this year’s cover boy for the Leaders category, Dr. Anthony Fauci when Dr. Phil would obviously have been a better choice.
