Dr. Oz Challenged Dr. Fauci To A Debate, And The Internet Dragged Him For It

Dr. Mehmet Oz, who notoriously shilled bullshit weight loss lies, is now trying to debate the Director of the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci. Dr. Fauci is sort of busy dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic that has so far killed more than 947,000 people in the United States alone. But obviously, debating with Dr. Oz takes precedence! And Dr. Oz is confused why Fauci hasn’t responded to his call to debate. Apart from the fact that Dr. Fauci is not running for election as a Republican Senator in Pennsylvania like Oz is, I don’t see how a man who makes a living saving lives would need to debate a man who makes a living teaching daytime TV watchers what a fart is.

Dr. Oz ended his show to pursue his dreams of leading the people of Pennsylvania in the US Senate. And I guess Dr. Oz thinks that a part of that means catering to the anti-vaxx and anti-mask set who absolutely hate Anthony Fauci. And so Dr. Oz has challenged Dr. Fauci to a debate TWICE and has been ignored TWICE.

Just look at that ratio: 1.6k likes and 13k replies. They are shitting all over him in the replies. Also dragging Dr. Oz is Kathy Barnette, his actual competition for one of the two Republican Senate seats. She hopped on Twitter to point out that Dr. Oz refused to debate her, calling him a “thirsty politician.”

Oz, too scared to debate me last night goes on Fox and asks to debate Fauci.

The rest of the Internet took a less political stance in their roasting and simply dragged Dr. Oz for thinking that he had intelligence or skills as a doctor equivalent to that as Dr. Fauci:

As if one of People Magazine’s People of the Year would have time to debate with Dr. Oz! Dr. Fauci was named as one of Time’s most influential people of the year alongside Jojo Siwa–that’s a different level!
