A New Book Claims That THE QUEEN Was “Relieved” That Meghan Markle Skipped Prince Philip’s Funeral
There’s a new book coming out this week called Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors from writer of many unauthorized biographies Tom Bower who also writes about the royals often. And well, Tom may have to take a break from using his typing fingers to write about the royals to use his typing fingers to find a lawyer to possibly defend him from the mega wave of cease and desists that Meghan Markle’s lawyers may drown him in. Because in his book, Tom makes all kinds of claims about Meghan Markle’s short time as a working royal and her relationships with the royal family, including the little rumor that THE QUEEN proclaimed, “Thank goodness!”, after finding out that Meghan wasn’t going to make the trip to England for Prince Philip’s funeral. Maybe Tom’s source got it wrong. Maybe THE QUEEN wasn’t giving thanks for Meghan not going to her husband’s funeral. Maybe right after she got the Meghan news, another aide let her know that they were able to rent a gin fountain for the funeral reception and THE QUEEN was giving thanks to that since she needed more than a few cups of the sweet nectar to deal with her family and favorite son.

Last week Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to London to attend THE QUEEN’S Platinum Jubilee. They didn’t appear on the balcony at Trooping the Colour and weren’t expected to (which is good for them because they would’ve been upstaged by Prince Louis’ raw star power), but they did make an appearance at the National Service of Thanksgiving the following day. THE QUEEN was supposed to be there too, but she bailed. Soon British rags reported that the couple spent time with THE QUEEN at a private family event after Trooping of the Colour on Thursday. They reportedly introduced her to her 1-year-old namesake, Lilibet. Now, the Sun is reporting that their source described the meeting as though it were a dirty little jewel heist: “It was a quick in and out job.”

New Lilibet just dropped! On the occasion of her first birthday, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have released a photo of THE QUEEN’s nicknamesake, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. People reports that the “candid, spontaneous photograph” was taken by a “close family friend and guest,” on Saturday as Lililbet sat on the grass at Frogmore Cottage during a “casual, intimate backyard picnic.” It’s pretty impressive for a casual snap taken at a party until you learn that the “close family friend” is noted fashion Sussex photographer Misan Harriman who previously shot the couple for their Lilibet pregnancy announcement. This explains why there’s no thumb in the frame and Lilibet isn’t covered in boogers and frosting.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Went To Church Today (While Queen Elizabeth Sat This One Out)
It’s all Jubilee, all the time in the UK right now, in honor of 96-year-old Queen Elizabeth’s 70 years on the throne. Liz is 96, so it should come as no surprise to anyone that after the excitement of yesterday’s Trooping of the Colour event, she likely flopped into a chair and hollered, “Hooo wee, that’s enough excitement for me! Cancel my plans for tomorrow and book me a foot massage.” Because Queen Elizabeth was supposed to attend the National Service of Thanksgiving today at St. Paul’s Cathedral, but she bailed. Everyone else showed up, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. And of course, their appearance had drama enthusiasts giddy with joy because they reportedly sat across the aisle from their least favorite couple in the UK, Prince William and Duchess Kate.
Prince Louis Stole The Show At THE QUEEN’s Jubilee Edition Of Trooping The Colour
Since THE QUEEN decided that guests wishing to join her on the balcony for the Platinum Jubilee edition of Trooping the Colour needed to show two forms of ID and a pay-stub from The Firm, as expected, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were absent, and according to People, watched the festivities from The Major General’s Office where they “could be seen playfully entertaining various young royals” whose wrist muscles aren’t yet sufficiently developed to endure the rigors of sustained royal waving. However that was not a problem for the littlest royal Prince Louis whose enthusiastic wrist-flopping and face-pulling absolutely stole the show. The Royal Family hasn’t produced a ham this big since The Queen offered Peppa Pig a Damehood.
