Jameela Jamil decried Vogue and The Met for choosing Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty as the Met Gala theme a few months ago, and though agreeing with the never-not-whining Jameela felt unnatural, she kind of did have a point. Karl was unapologetic over his thoughts about fat women, #metoo victims, gay adoption, and migrants any time he was on the record. He was a known kunt, and Jameela provided receipts in case anyone was unaware. And now that the 2023 Met has come and gone, Jameela still had a lot to say about those in attendance and the public’s tendency to have a selective memory and look the other way when pretty sparklies and elegant cat costumes come into play.

When Pete Davidson decided he’d had enough of being Saturday Night Live‘s punchline, he chalked up the Deuces and exited from the show as a regular cast member. Since his departure, he’s been unleashing his sharable sized trouser snake with all the ladies, but he must have been homesick to return to SNL for a bit of fun. Originally, Pete was slated to host this weekend’s episode of SNL with musical guest Lil Uzi Vert. But while Pete was preparing to keep all mention of selfie seductress Kim Kardashian out of his mouth the Writer’s Guild of America members were throwing their pens down and grabbing picket signs for a nationwide strike. And because of this, Pete’s hosting gig has been canceled.

When the clock hit 12:01 this morning, the Writers Guild of America went on strike after talks with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed, and their contract expired. One of the major things that WGA wants is fair pay in the streaming era. The strike means that production has been paused on many series, and late-night talk shows are going dark. There hasn’t been a WGA strike in 15 years. Hopefully, the strike ends before the most prolific writer in Hollywood becomes AI, and we hear the words, “And the Emmy for Outstanding Writer in a Drama Series goes to… ChatGPT!”  – The Hollywood Reporter
