Pete Davidson Says He Felt Like A “Loser” Whenever His “Saturday Night Live” Co-Stars Made Fun Of His Love Life

Pete Davidson has been with a loottttt of ladies over the past few years, a fact that has gotten him scrutinized by many folks. Probably because they’re wondering how such a pale, goofy-looking guy can snag such hot pieces of ass like British cougar Kate Beckinsale and stunted chanteuse Ariana Grande, who informed us long ago, we should refer to him as Pistol Packin’ Pete (even though he slapped those rumors down shortly afterward). But regardless of whatever the allure is with Pete, he admits that while on Saturday Night Live, whenever his co-workers made fun of his love life, he always felt like the biggest loser ever.

Us Weekly reports during an interview on Real Ones With Jon Bernthal, Pete bared his soul about how, as a person in their twenties, he’s confused about why people find his love life fascinating. And I think I speak for the majority of the collective when I say we’re not necessarily fascinated by your love life Pete. We just like talking shit about your love life, and there’s a huge difference. Still, Pete doesn’t understand why we care so much.

“I’ve been in show business for, like, half my life almost — for 14 or 15 years and on a national TV show. In 12 years I’ve dated 10 people. I don’t think that’s that crazy, but to some people, that’s very interesting. That became all anyone would talk about.”

The Set It Up star shared that it’s “confusing” to see people so invested in his love life, especially because he isn’t on any social media platforms.

“I’m not, like, flexing, you know what I mean? And these people that I’ve dated, I met them at work. I wasn’t in anyone’s DMs, no one was in mine. I worked at one of the five Hollywood epicenters of where you meet people and that’s how it happened,”

Let’s not forget one of Pete’s most interesting office romances came when Kim Kardashian worked her koven magic on him in an entanglement that ended just as quickly as it began. And speaking of the office, when Pete was at SNL, he hated how his co-workers used to make fun of his love life at the time, although he’s made peace with it since departing in 2022.

While Davidson told host Jon Bernthal on Thursday that he’s “cool” with his “late-night friends” occasionally making jokes about his romantic life, he often felt like a “loser” when being poked fun at during his time on SNL.

“When it’s your own show, and I’ll be sitting in the back watching the cold open and [it’s] topical political humor or whatever in the culture, and they’re making fun of you and you gotta walk out and do a sketch next and hit your mark — the show just made fun of you, so why are they going to laugh at you? They just dogged you.”

“It was a really difficult thing to do. You feel insecure. You feel like a small person,” he shared.

Hey Pete, the next time one of them gives you shit about your love life, refer them to an escort agency. Because they’re just jealous and can only snag women as beautiful as yours as long as their Amex card isn’t declined.
