Whoopi Goldberg Responded To A Movie Critic Who Said Her “Till” Fat Suit Was “Distracting” By Clarifying That She Wasn’t Wearing One
These days, it seems like Whoopi Goldberg’s full job description at The View consists of saying something truly ignorant (like this) or saying something true, but considered mildly contentious (re: Lindsey Graham), and then having to backpedal or explain herself; keeping people guessing about whether or not she actually just farted on air; OR having to stay cool, calm, and collected while addressing people’s blunt critiques and questions about her physical appearance. First, there was that time when Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran basically called her a fat ass right to her face on the show. Then, Whoopi explained to the panel why she doesn’t rock eyebrows. And now, Whoopi had to clear up a comment by a movie reviewer that her “fat suit” was “distracting” even though she wasn’t wearing one in the new movie Till, which she appears in and produced.
Whoopi Goldberg Apparently Got A Talking To After Making A Gay Joke About Lindsey Graham On “The View”
Today’s episode of And Whoopi Sighed finds our beleaguered co-host of The View, Whoopi Goldberg, once again questioning her life choices after presumably getting an earful at the commercial break after making a crack about Senator Lindsey Graham’s sexuality on yesterday’s show with guest White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. Unfortunately for Whoopi, the joke wasn’t that Senator Graham would fuck the devil himself in exchange for a discernible jawline, instead it was a lazy quip suggesting that his sudden reversal on regulating abortion and gay marriage at the federal level instead of leaving it to the states to decide, means he’s in a rush to get gay married before it’s too late. The joke was about as spicy as the mayo that leaks out of Lindsey’s pores when he sweats, but got a polite chuckle from the audience and panel. But after the break, Whoopi came out and said she “got a whole conversation about people misunderstanding the joke” and said, “I should probably never do this show again, if this is what it’s coming to.” My God, she’s this close to saying what we’re all thinking, if she’d only said “we” instead of “I.”

Whoopi Goldberg has been serving questionable takes on The View since 2007, and some of the shit that comes out of her talk-hole when it comes to topics like skeezy dudes or the Holocaust must be so distracting that a large sector of the population never realized that she’s rocking zero eyebrows. People says that on Monday’s episode, Whoopi introduced a segment about the recent celebrity “no-brow” trend, which was an appropriate segue for her to explain why she’s been without them for most of her life.

This season The View is inviting back a bunch of old hosts to celebrate 25 years of hot topics, bad takes, and iconic fights. Yesterday Raven-Symoné, who co-hosted from 2015 to 2016, made an appearance alongside her wife of almost two years, Miranda Pearman-Maday, and when she walked on stage she was noticeably smaller. Raven says she’s lost 40 pounds thanks to a new sugar-free diet and her wife’s “help and guidance and love and fantastic cooking skills.” Sigh. My boyfriend can’t even heat up a slice of pizza in the microwave without my careful instructions. Where can acquire my own Miranda?
