Barbara Corcoran Made A Fat Joke About Whoopi Goldberg On “The View” Yesterday

So yesterday Barbara Corcoran and the other richies from Shark Tank went on The View. The topic turned to Emma Grede, the CEO and co-founder (alongside Khloe Kardashian) of Good American jeans, who is set to be the first Black, female guest judge on Shark Tank. Host Sunny Hostin raved about Emma’s jeans, and Whoopi Goldberg commented that she’d have to try them. Then she joked, “Will they fit this COVID [butt]?” Ana Navarro replied, “They fit this COVID [butt]!” And everyone laughed, because, hey, that shit’s relatable. But then, for absolutely zero reason, Barbara fucking Corcoran jumped in with this: “When you get finished with those jeans, and decide you don’t like them, give them to me. I’m gonna make TWO PAIRS.” EXCUSE ME?! The sheer, unnecessary ordacity!
Whoopi was obviously thrown by the insult. And The View audience immediately turned on Barbara like she was a deadbeat dad on Maury. That’s when Ana Navarro stepped in to defend her friend’s honor, making a jab about Barbara’s Dolce & Gabbana dress:
Wait wait wait, Whoopi! Lemme just tell you something. Both Sara Haines and Jill Biden wore that dress already, on TV.
Then Ana ripped up her cards, cuz she knew this conversation was OVAH.
Barbara’s response was to put her hands on her hips and declare, “That’s not true!” And while she’s totally the asshole in this siutation, she maaay be half-correct about the dig not being totally true. Cuz while Jill Biden definitely wore the exact same dress in June, I can’t find proof that Sara Haines did. Ana might be thinking of a similar Dolce & Gabbana patchwork dress from the same line, that Sara wore on The View three weeks ago. But if anyone can find proof that Sara did wear that dress, please, I beg of you, prove Ana 100% correct!

People came for Barbara online, accusing her of fat-shaming and being mean. So Barbara responded with a video on Twitter. She said:
I just came back from The View and saw my old friend Whoopi. She has a phenomenal sense of humor, and I’ve known Whoopi for years.
I made a joke at Whoopi’s expense, which I now realize wasn’t funny. For anyone who I may have offended unintentionally, I just wanted to say I really am very sorry.
Here’s the tweet:

Whoopi replied that she knows Barbara’s humor and she knows she was kidding. Barbara replied with a thank you:
You’re terrific Whoopi! And as always, a class act. Thank you https://t.co/CSUuAWH5ua

Well. I guess that ended as well as it coulda. Whoopi took the high road and now we know what Barbara Corcoran thinks is funny. Plus, Anna Wintour, Jillian Michaels, and Karl Lagerfeld’s ghost are thrilled to welcome a new member into their Celebrity Fat-Shamers Club! Head’s up, Babs. The snacks at their meetings suck.
