Alanis Morissette Says She Dropped Out Of A Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Performance Because Of Sexism From The Production Team
Alanis Morrisette was supposed to perform with Olivia Rodrigo this past Saturday evening at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. But Alanis ended up skipping the whole thing even though she participated in rehearsals. Now, Alanis says that the reason she skipped the event is because of some good old-fashioned sexism from the production team. Damn, you do not want to piss off an Alanis Morissette type; she will write an iconic revenge album about you and make you reassess your life choices.

Tonight she wraps up the 48-show tour with her second concert in London at the Eventim Apollo. But it was last night’s audience who got to witness a surprise duet with the woman, the myth, the legend herself, Natalie Imbruglia. Olivia and Natalie came together to sing the best song of all time, “Torn.” 47-year-old Natalie’s version of “Torn” (apparently it’s a cover, the original was by the band Ednaswap?!) was released in 1997 and 19-year-old Olivia wasn’t born for another six years. But just cuz Olivia is practically a fetus doesn’t mean she can’t appreciate the golden oldies of yore.

LMAO at this one. 50-year-old billionaire, Elon Musk, is Time Magazine‘s Person of the Year. The guy who thought COVID-19 would be gone last April, and that you could rescue a children’s soccer team from an underwater cave with a single-seated submarine, and plays video games more than he talks to his girlfriends, is the Person of the Year. But as we’ve been reminded before, Time’s Person of the Year is not Time’s BEST Person of the Year. I mean, Jeff Bezos and Trump have been Person of the Year before.

New Edition And New Kids On The Block Faced Off In A Battle Of The Boy Bands At Last Night’s American Music Awards
The 2021 American Music Awards happened last night and was hosted by Cardi B, who I’m amazed didn’t reveal another pregnancy because she loves to do that. But she did crack jokes and managed to screech “My underarms itch!” in her opening monologue, so that happened. But more importantly, there was music at the American Music Awards (shocking) and we were treated to a plethora of acts. Including a reunion-slash-battle between two classic boy bands, New Kids On The Block and New Edition.
