This time, it’s that in Kim’s quest to become the next very serious artiste and lose weight for “the role” of wearing Marilyn’s dress, she had to abandon her usual plant-based diet to choke down meat (it’s just too easy) for it to fit, and instead of just getting the “meat sweats,” she got a case of the meat “psoriatic arthritis-es.” Her sharing of this very crucial and intriguing information is either a smokescreen for some other shady K-business going on or an attempt by Kris Jenner to broker a deal to replace Khloe Kardashian’s unsettling, artificial Nurtec commercial face with Kim’s natural, “never filled, only minimally Botoxed” face in a Xeljanz campaign.

Yes, we’re back to this fuckery again. Pimp Mama Kris must have something bad bubbling under the surface down in Kalabasas (they haven’t changed the spelling of “Calabasas” yet, but we all know it’s coming), because whenever something not so great is happening in Kardashianland, it seems like the “Satan of Spin” deploys one of the K-klan to step out on the stroll to create a diversion. Kim Kardashian has made several stops recently to promote her new skincare line SKKN by Kim, but made sure to drop some tender nuggets for people to eat up so they pay no attention to whatever krap may be going on behind the kurtain. Apparently, Kim isn’t eating any kind of nuggets though, because even though literally no one asked her, she said that she’s lost even more weight since slimming down to fit into Marilyn Monroe’s president-plundering dress for the 2022 Met Gala; and, no, that weight wasn’t the 150 pound, tattooed dudebro Pete Davidson (but I’m sure that’s on the horizon), it was five more pounds on top of the 16 she’d already lost to (still not really even) fit into Marilyn’s dress.

Some said it was huge mistake, historians said she stressed the integrity of the fabric, and others were concerned that she lost an unhealthy amount of weight to fit into the thing. Kim defended her decision to drop them pounds by comparing herself to Christian Bale who famously yo-yos in weight as a sacrifice to his art. That’s right, squeezing your HoneyBaked ham into a size 0 pair of jeans is now an act worthy of the Louvre!

The last thing you want to do when dressing for the Met Gala is set yourself up for a Who Wore it Better situation. Especially if the person who you’re going to be compared to is Marilyn Fucking Monroe, one of the most iconic, oft-imitated and naturally stunning women in Hollywood history. Regardless, since Kim Kardashian believes her own hype, not only did she wear an exact replica of one of Marilyn’s most famous looks, the nude sheath covered in thousands of crystals that she wore to serenade President John F. Kennedy on his birthday in 1962, Kim also, for a hot second, wore the actual dress that Marylin wore on the red carpet. Vogue reports that Kim borrowed the dress from Ripley’s Believe or Not! museum in Florida, which acquired it in 2016 at auction for $4.8 million. It’s an odd place for such an iconic dress to be displayed. If it wasn’t for Ripley’s deep pockets, it might have ended up at The Smithsonian. But now that Kim’s worn it, it truly is worthy of display in Ripley’s Vintage Oddities Collection next to the two-headed calf and the display commemorating The Kentucky Meat Shower of 1876.
Madonna Did Marilyn Monroe Drag For V Magazine And Recreated The Scene Of Marilyn’s Death
Madonna covers the latest issue of V Magazine in full Marilyn Monroe drag. Weeks before she died in 1962, Marilyn posed for photographer Bert Stern in a “three-day whirlwind” photoshoot referred to as “The Last Sitting.” Marilyn was 36 at the time and Madge is 63 now. Those numbers are kinda the same, so this is clearly kismet. Photographer Steven Klein wanted to capture the magic of that shoot with Madonna to pay “homage to the glamour and tragedy” of Marilyn. And he probably shoulda emphasized “tragedy,” cuz, while it’s not mentioned anywhere in the V Magazine article, some of the Madonna photos seem to be recreating Marilyn’s death bedroom, bedside pill bottles, and all. All that’s missing is John F. Kennedy skulking in the shadows holding an empty bottle of rat poison.
