Of Course Jated Leto Is Producing And Starring In A Karl Lagerfeld Biopic
As if we haven’t suffered enough, Jared Leto, the man who puts the suffer and twat in insufferable twat, is going to be tormenting our eyes and ears by completing his transformation into Karl Lagerfeld right before our very eyes. Deadline reports that Jared is producing, and will of course star in, a biopic about Jameela Jamil’s least favorite dead fashion icon (to date.) This is obviously the role of a lifetime for Jared as it has everything he likes in a character — European accent of indeterminate origin, a live prop, clown suits, a fun wig, contempt for women and flat, dead eyes concealed behind silly novelty sunglasses! It’s perfect really. I just hope too many innocent pussies aren’t rubbed raw from Jared’s “immersive” stroking methods. PETA needs to stay on his ass for the duration.

For years it has been rumored there would be a feature film depicting Whitney Houston‘s life because people took one look at that Lifetime mess of a movie and knew she deserved much better. So now with a budget that includes proper lighting and somewhat better wigs the trailer for The Whitney Estate-approved biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, starring Naomi Ackie, has arrived and it’s giving glamour, despair, and VOCALS! However, since Naomi is lip-syncing throughout the film, somewhere up in heaven Whitney is probably looking down with her trademarked side eye singing “Shut up, just shut up..SHUT UP!”

Earlier this year we learned Daniel Radcliffe was going to play Weird Al Yankovic in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which will, for some insane reason, stream exclusively on The Roku Channel. Today, the trailer dropped, and it looks like the movie is a send-up of gritty Oscar-baity music biopics. We see Weird Al lose himself to drugs and booze (the real Al is a teetotaler), have a steamy affair with Madonna (Evan Rachel Wood), and viciously put out a cigarette on Will Forte’s hand. So this flick’s a parody of a parodist. Trippy.
Marisa Abela From “Industry” Is Reportedly In Talks To Play Amy Winehouse In Upcoming Biopic
It’s hard to believe it’s been eleven years since Amy Winehouse passed away at age 27. Her life was a tumultuous barrage of insanity that mirrored her songs, yet her music has endured and will always be considered some of the best of all time. In that respect, of course, Hollywood is turning Amy’s life story into an upcoming Mitch Winehouse-approved biopic titled Back To Black, directed and co-written by Sam Taylor-Johnson. The film is still in the developmental stages, but there are a few actresses being considered for the role. And one of them, Marisa Abela, has come out of the gate leading the pack as a frontrunner for consideration.

I feel like we’ve been hearing about Blonde, the NC-17 rated Marilyn Monroe biopic starring Ana de Armas, for years, decades, millennia! Rumor has it director Andrew Dominik began production before Marilyn even died. Well, today, all our patience has finally paid off; Netflix released the teaser trailer for the flick. It features an eerie version of “Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend,” slow motion, and black-and-white and color (watch out, Schindler’s List). Translation: this is art, baby!
Julia Garner Has Reportedly Been Offered The Lead Role In Madonna’s Upcoming Biopic
Madonna is still working tirelessly on the upcoming biopic about her life, and for a while, it was a mess, with people dropping out and being replaced at random. But it seems like there’s at least one train car still on the tracks, and that’s casting for the titular role. There were a number of names that were thrown into the conversation about who might play Madonna. The list included actresses and/or singers like Sydney Sweeney, Barbie Ferreira, Florence Pugh, Julia Garner, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, Emma Laird, Bebe Rexha, and Sky Ferreira. I was personally hoping that Madonna and casting director Carmen Cuba would go avant-garde with it, and cast all of them in an I’m Not There-style creative multiverse situation. I’m going to have to keep waiting on such a thing, because it looks like Madonna has settled on her younger self being played by Julia Garner.
