Gap is coming for whatever money’s left in Kanye West’s dramatically slimed down wallet after losing $1.5 billion when Adidas terminated their partnership. No, they’re not suing him for making them sell their failed Yeezy x Gap collab out of trash bags. Gap’s taking legal action after they got sued by Art City Center, whose building was leased out to Gap during their partnership with Kanye and was apparently left damaged after he made alterations to the building without Gap’s approval. So basically, Gap wants to pass over the bill to Kanye.

We live in a society where original thought means, “How can we tweak some shit that’s already been done?” And if you’re wondering what’s been dug up from the past and propped up for another public viewing, the answer is Alice Walker’s timeless tale of a bad marriage and bad children, The Color Purple. The new film adaptation, which is based on the musical stage version, dropped its trailer yesterday and it looks nothing like the beloved 1985 classic film. Mainly because it’s a version of the musical that took Broadway by storm during its runs between 2005 and 2017. And so far, reactions have been positive, which is perfect since this film is about to be the gift that keeps on giving when it debuts later this year on Christmas Day.
