Nicole Kidman Didn’t Like It When Her Ex-Husband Tom Cruise Was Brought Up In An Interview

December 30, 2021 / Posted by:

Nicole Kidman has been married to Keith Urban for fifteen years now, but as everyone knows, before that she was married to Tom Cruise for a little over ten years. When a journalist brought up her marriage to Tom Cruise after she answered a question about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s relationship, she slammed that question as sexist.

Open Post: Hosted By The Trailer For “The Northman” Starring Alexander Skarsgard As A Viking

December 20, 2021 / Posted by:

The Northman stars Alexander Skarsgard as a ripped AF Viking returning home to reclaim his kingdom, save his Viking Queen mother played by Nicole Kidman and get revenge on Javier Bardem for playing Desi Arnaz. Oh, wait, sorry no–getting my movies mixed up. But he is getting revenge on his uncle who betrayed his Viking King father. So it’s The Lion King but violent and with Vikings and I’m assuming no musical numbers.

Here Are The Nominees For The (Untelevised) 2022 Golden Globes

December 13, 2021 / Posted by:

Just because you’re broke and ugly, that doesn’t mean you have cornered the market on suffering. If you prick a celebrity, do they not bleed? Well they do — profusely, dramatically and off-key. Sure, the last couple of years may have been hard on everyone, but it’s been particularly hard on actors who’ve had their very livelihoods upturned by the ravages the coronavirus has taken on the global box office as well having to have witnessed the downfall of one of their most beloved institutions of affirmation, The Golden Globes. But even though NBC decided not to air the 2022 ceremony due to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s “lack of diversity and shoddy ethical practices,Variety reports that the “beleaguered and scandal-plaguedHFPA has gone ahead and enlisted Snoop Dogg to read aloud their nominees, I guess because he was the only Black celebrity they could get on such short notice. Because as we know, Scarlett Johansson’s sick of being their token and wants nothing more to do with them.

Aaron Sorkin Hopes People Will Pay Less Attention To What Twitter Has To Say After Watching “Being The Ricardos”

December 4, 2021 / Posted by:

After the internet saw the trailers for Being The Ricardos, Aaron Sorkin’s movie about Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’s marriage woes during the Red Scare, many dragged it, especially Nicole Kidman’s Lucy. But if Debra Messing sent Aaron Sorkin her picture and resume and let him know that she’s available for reshoots, he definitely tossed her picture and resume to the side. Because Aaron, who has defended his casting decisions before, has some THOUGHTS about the online backlash. Looks like Twitter is less Sorkin’s The Social Network and more Sorkin’s Enemy of the State!

Aaron Sorkin Defended His Casting Choices For “Being The Ricardos”

November 12, 2021 / Posted by:

If you’re tempted to watch Being The Ricardos out of morbid curiosity to see a minimally animated off-brand wax museum Lucille Ball with Nicole Kidman’s accent, you might want to think twice. I know writer/director Aaron Sorkin has been nominated for a bunch of Oscars and shit, but judging by a new interview he gave for The Hollywood Reporter, I’m not sure he’s ever enjoyed watching a movie in his life. In it, Aaron defends his decision to cast Nicole and Javier Bardiem as Lucy and Desi Arnaz by dragging I Love Lucy and admits that he only pulled from “a small pool of world-class actresses” for the part and that “finding an actress who looked like Lucille Ball wasn’t important to me.” So I guess Debra Messing really never had a shot.

Here’s The Full Trailer For “Being The Ricardos” Starring Nicole Kidman As Lucille Ball

November 10, 2021 / Posted by:

There’s a tiny off-camera, post-credits half-cackle in the just-released official trailer for Being The Ricardos that sounds kiiiinda like Lucille Ball but I’m not convinced it came from Nicole Kidman. I think it might have come from Lucy’s ghost since Nic’s face looks more like a smooth, well-kneaded hunk of dough with two raisins pushed in if for eyes than her famous mug. And not since Sally Field in Sybil has an actor done so many different and distinct voices for a single character. But hey, I’m not one to dwell on the negative. Just off the top of my head, what I can say about Nic’s performance based on this trailer is she’s got great wigs, beautiful wigs.
