New Pictures Of Nicole Kidman As Lucille Ball Are Not Encouraging
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but Nicole Kidman is not trending on Twitter because she broke her NDA with Scientology and has confirmed that Tom Cruise is actually only 3’7” tall. It’s because new pictures of her in Lucille Ball drag for Being The Ricardos have been circulating. And Nicole’s lucky Lucy was no relation to the Gucci Gang, because Nicole has endured enough harassment from shady organizations to last a lifetime.
The last pics we saw were equally unconvincing, but that had a lot to do with the way her hair was styled. This time she’s got the classic Lucy ‘do, but unfortunately, it’s more Lucy from The Peanuts than Lucille Ball. Here’s what you can get away with if you’ve got five Golden Globes, an Oscar and two Emmys under your belt. What they won’t tell you is that Nicole is also a 3-time Yoga Award winner for Worst Foreign Actress. All in the same year!

Now, it’s been stressed since this casting was announced that Nicole isn’t playing Lucy Ricardo, the fictional character from the TV show I Love Lucy. Being The Ricardos is about the real life relationship between Lucy and Desi Arnaz who will be played by Javier Bardem. Debra Messing hasn’t had this much heat on her since Smash! got cancelled. Here’s Javier again only this time he looks more like Desi. But that’s mostly due to the mask. Maybe Aaron Sorkin can pull his face out of Paulina Porizkova’s coochie long enough to re-write Lucy as a germaphobe.

If that’s true then there’s no reason on earth this role shouldn’t have gone to Viola Davis. But I don’t blame Lucie.
