13 Years Later, Here’s The Teaser Trailer For “Avatar: The Way Of Water”
What if I told you there was a sequel to Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar on the way? I think you’d be pretty stoked, I know I would be. But what if I then told you it was directed by James Cameron and that Jamie Dornan is not in it, as far as we can tell? Perhaps your enthusiasm might begin to wane, as mine did while realizing that I was actually watching a teaser trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water, and not Barb and Star 2: Barb and Star Raid Davy Jones Locker. Variety reports that after 13 years, we finally get a glimpse of what James has been doing all this time, and apparently, he’s been trying to clear the licenses for Lisa Frank’s aquatic series of stickers to complete his vision.
Open Post: Hosted By The Cat Who Replaced Kate Winslet In A “Titanic” Parody
Today Kate Winslet woke up in her modest 3-bedroom bungalow in the suburbs of London. She made breakfast, sent her kids to school, did a little Facebooking, and then drove to the biscuit factory, where she works as an assistant manager. It may be shocking, but we no longer live in a reality where Kate shot to global superstardom as Rose DeWitt Bukater in Titanic. That role has been retroactively re-cast with a fluffy black cat named Lizzy, stage name: OwlKitty. Thanks to the power of the green screen, OwlKitty’s the one who made out with Leonardo DiCaprio on the bow of the ship. OwlKitty’s the one who laid on that couch, titties out. OwlKitty’s the one who was nominated actually WON the 1997 Oscar for Best Actress. Continue reading
Kate Winslet “Couldn’t Stop Crying” When She Reunited With Leonardo DiCaprio After 3 Years
Kate Winslet did an interview with The Guardian to reflect on the success of Mare of Easttown, the pandemic, and her career. And since they discussed Kate Winslet’s career, the subject of Titanic inevitably reared its iconic, Oscar-winning head (err, bow). And with Titanic comes Jack Dawson, aka Leonardo DiCaprio. Kate, 46, says she didn’t see her buddy Leo, 47, for three years because of the pandemic, and when they recently reunited in LA, she “couldn’t stop crying.” Was it because Leo was with his Gen-Z girlfriend, Camila Morrone, and Kate realized the 24-year-old was born the same year Titanic premiered??
There Were A Few Surprises And Record-Breakers In An Otherwise Pretty Predictable Emmy Awards Ceremony
I watched the 73rd Annual Primetime Emmys last night, and because I live on the east coast, I went to bed immediately after the final award was presented at too-late-for-me-o’clock. And it should be no surprise that I had the weirdest dream last night about a member of the royal family-turned-soccer coach that looked like Kate Winslet and sounded like John Oliver, who for some reason really wanted me to learn how to play chess with their best friend, Cedric the Entertainer. The Emmys last night kind of felt like déjà vu happening in real-time. Oh look, Ted Lasso won another award! The Crown is cleaning up! But there were some moments that felt right, like the formerly snubbed Michaela Coel taking home the award for Writing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie, for the incredible I May Destroy You. But other than that, and a few fun surprises, there was a whole lot of Cheerful Soccer Coach and 1980’s-era British Queen Having Problems With Her Son’s Messy Marriage.
Kate Winslet Says There May Be A Second Season Of “Mare Of Easttown”
Kate Winslet is nominated for an Emmy for her lead role in Mare of Easttown, so she sat down for an interview with Entertainment Weekly. Kate proceeded to reveal the names of the four closeted actors she knows that Brad Ingelsby, the show’s creator, has “some very cool ideas” for a potential second season, which has been hinted at before. Initially, HBO was promoting Mare of Easttown as a one-off limited series, and that’s the Emmy category all 16 of its nominations are in. But it looks like they’ll pull a Big Little Lies and try to milk some more cashola outta the story. Hopefully, that shit’s better than Big Little Lies’ sophomore season. Not even Meryl Streep’s false teeth could save that mess. Continue reading
Kate Winslet Says She’s Close To Retiring From Nude Scenes
Even though Kate Winslet says stupid shit from time to time, I’m still a big fan of her acting. And her titties. I remember Kate going on Oprah back in the day and Opes congratulating her for having real breasts that flopped apart when she lied on her back. These are iconic boobs, and the first pair many of my fellow millennials saw on the big screen (Titanic). But in a new interview, 45-year-old Kate says her days of baring those beauties may be over very soon. Quelle horreur! Continue reading
