The Wendy Williams/Howard Stern feud has come to an abrupt and surprising end. Whatever Howard’s therapist is getting paid, it’s not enough, because he’s actually apologizing to Wendy for his outburst.
Debra Messing may have had to report to the principal’s office over at NBC for a slap on the wrist for dissing network cohort Megyn Kelly on Instagram after appearing on her show. According to Page Six, Messing was told to “cut it out” which is something your kid sister says to you when you keep making her slap herself in the face. But it’s also apparently something that NBC bosses say to their talent if they step out of line. Page Six reports:
While NBC insiders defended Kelly’s comments as “tongue-in-cheek,” Messing got a stern warning.
One exec told us, “Debra was told to cut it out by someone high up in the NBC Entertainment division run by Bob Greenblatt, via her agent or publicist.”
Debra’s rep was asked about the incident but declined to comment. A source close to the actress however denies that Debra got detention and claims that NBC fully supports Debra and is totally going to vote for her for Homecoming Queen. I bet another source for the actress is the one who wrote “MK Sucks” in the girl’s bathroom on the third floor of the science building and started the rumor that Megyn let Susan Sarandon finger her at Becky Adams’ kegger last weekend. Meanwhile, a source for Megyn is probably plotting an elaborate prank which involves bleach, a bottle of Clairol #8 and a cucumber. If these two don’t hurry up and bury the hatchet, NBC Prom is going to end up being a total blood bath!
Sometimes a shady queen has so many rivalries to deal with that it takes her a while to blast ’em. It took five years, but Aretha Franklin finally got around to letting the world know that her one (of many) longtime arch rivals Dionne Warwick spit out slanderous lies about her at Whitney Houston’s funeral in 2012. And Queen Aretha slapped at Cousin Dionne in a statement to the AP that she sent via fax machine! An e-mail takes about 1 millisecond to send. As does a text. So you know that you’re really mad at a trick when you go through the trouble of using a fax machine to slam them. And yes, I believe that Queen Aretha sent that fax herself, because she wanted to say, “Take that, bitch!“, when the word “sent” popped up on the machine’s screen.
Over the weekend, we learned that Nicki Minaj had probably locked herself in a walk-in freezer to treat the BURN she was given by rapper and Love & Hip Hop: New York star Remy Ma. It all started after Remy felt that she was done dirty by Nicki in a verse from the song Make Love. Remy fired back with ShETHER, a 7 minute diss track. Nicki responded a couple times on Instagram, the gist of which was mostly just Nicki bragging about how her friends are more famous and how Remy Ma’s record sales are bad. They’re not done hissing at each other and now Lil’ Kim is involved.
Former rapper turned professional troll Azealia Banks conjured up another ten dozen headlines with her name in ’em over the weekend when she went after another one of the popular kids. You gotta do what you gotta do to be relevant and Azealia did that by starting a fight with Rihanna. It led to the both of them leaking each other’s phone numbers.
At the beginning of every december, Ellen DeGeneres has a thing on her show called The 12 Days of Giveaways in which she makes like Oprah and causes an audience-wide meltdown by giving away a ton of free shit. But this year, behind the scenes, Ellen has held her own personal giveaway. Except instead of 12 days, it was one day, and instead of free shit for the audience, it was a ton of shit given over the phone to Kathy Griffin.
