59-year-old Quentin Tarantino has long said that his tenth movie will be his last, and then he’ll retire from movie-making and live out his dream of being the editor-in-chief of wikiFeet (I’m guessing). QT is reportedly getting ready to make his tenth and final movie before riding off into the sunset driving the pussy wagon. There’s very little known about the script so far, and rumor has it that whatever exists of the project is being kept hidden in a briefcase as we speak. (Who else pictured an old, brown, leathery valise?). QT is gearing up to start shooting this upcoming fall. The only thing that we know for sure is that its current working title is called The Movie Critic. And we also know that Brian Cox will probably not star in it.

About a week ago, it was announced that Queen of Coastal Grandmothers and Rich White Lady Kitchens, Nancy Meyers, would direct a mega-budgeted rom-com for Netflix starring Scarlett Johansson, Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, and Owen Wilson. But bad news for the makers of cream-colored cable knit sweaters, Netflix has canceled the movie over budget woes. Netflix wanted the budget to be no more than $130 million, but Nancy insisted on it being $150 million, with $80 million going to the main cast alone ($80 million for THAT cast?! Price check, please!). $150 million may sound like a lot for a rom-com with no CGI effects or anything, but this is a Nancy Meyers rom-com we’re talking about. The extra $20 million that Nancy wanted was probably for the kitchen set alone. Actually, let me correct myself since I just looked at the prices of fucking refrigerators.
