Taylor Swift’s Original Song For “Cats” Didn’t Make The Oscar Shortlist
Last week, Taylor Swift was nominated for her third Golden Globe award for Best Original Song, for the original song she wrote for the movie version of Cats. The song is called “Beautiful Ghosts,” which is appropriate, considering her chance receiving a Best Original Song Oscar nomination is dead.
Steven Spielberg May Have Kissed And Made Up With Netflix
A week or so after cranky dinosaur Steven Spielberg threw a Hollywood power broker version of a toddler’s tantrum over Netflix movies being in the running for Oscars, he appears to be changing his tune. Steven and Ted Sarandos, the head of Netflix, were seen meeting at a members-only club where they probably talked about how they can kiss and make-up and be friends.
Don Lemon Criticized Kevin Hart And Ellen DeGeneres, So Kevin Said Some More Shit On Instagram
Kevin Hart’s recent appearance on Ellen show to complain about how he’s been treated while Ellen DeGeneres Captain-Save-A-Ho’ed him drew a mixed reaction from the public. Some wondered whether Ellen shaved too close to her brain this time and took a layer off, because she, a lesbian, tried to redeem Kevin after he stepped down as host of the Oscars because he refused to apologize again for homophobic tweets he made in 2010 and 2011. CNN’s Don Lemon was someone who criticized Ellen on his show and felt that it was a misstep on both comedians’ parts. Kevin must have been watching.
The Oscars Are Right Around The Corner And They Still Don’t Have A Host
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has yet to find anybody pristine enough to host their little awards show and it’s getting down to the wire. According to The Hollywood Reporter, there have only been 2 times in Oscar history where there hasn’t been a host in place by January 1. Jon Stewart was announced as host on January 5, 2006 and Whoopi Goldberg‘s 4th time hosting the show was announced on January 7, 2002. So there’s still a few days left before a new record is set, but as Kevin Hart proved, even if they pick someone today there’s still the chance that our network of citizen detectives will find out that, say Tom Hanks, once ate a baby on a dare. Then they’d be out a host and we’d never get to see Bosom Buddies rebooted for Netflix.
Kevin Hart Will Host The 2019 Oscars
It was just yesterday that The Hollywood Reporter said that nobody wants to host the Oscars on February 24, 2019. Clearly there’s someone brave enough to take one for the team and accept what THR called the “least wanted job in Hollywood,” and it’s Kevin Hart.
The 2019 Oscars Is Still Without A Host
When the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences were sitting around brainstorming new ways to make the Oscars hip and cool for the youths of today, they should have been making a list of potential hosts. Because the Oscars are on February 24, 2019 and a host still hasn’t been announced.
