At long last, Archwell Audio has announced that Mehgan Markle has finally gotten, or will be getting, her ass in the studio to record a “groundbreaking first Spotify podcast series” which is set to premiere this summer. Meghan and Prince Harry’s first and only bit of content since signing a multi-year deal with Spotify way back in December of 2020, was a single 30-minute episode they let their baby talk on. According to People, a press release from Archwell Audio mentions that AA is “eager to be responsible stewards of an audio landscape,” which is either a dig at Joe Rogan, or evidence that they took advantage of Joe getting busted for acting up and telling lies in class, to get an extension on their homework.

If memorial coverage that led to the highest number of complaints the BBC had ever seen and a funeral fit for a king wasn’t enough, a new memorial service at Westminster Abbey has been scheduled for the late Prince Philip. That’s one of the perks of being a senior royal: people will constantly be reminded of your existence well after you pass! Another perk is that you get 24-hour security. If they can’t get some beefy dudes to cover them while they visit the UK, it looks like the former royal couple will miss out on Prince Philip’s memorial!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been planning a little trip to the UK with their kids, Archie and Lilibet, because every child of a former senior royal should see the place where their dad escaped from like the aristocratic British version of the Road Runner. For us regular folk, planning a trip to the UK is as simple as buying the cheapest airline tickets you can find online, booking a hotel room, and praying that “spotted dick” isn’t what it sounds like. For Harry and Meghan, it’s a little more complicated. Specifically, they have to arrange for a whole mess of security guards. That’s been an issue. Harry recently sent his lawyer to a preliminary hearing regarding his UK security, and he revealed he doesn’t feel that it’s safe to bring his family back to his homeland with the current security situation he’s facing.

It’s not exactly the greatest time to be a member of the Spotify customer service support team right now. Rock icon Neil Young decided he’d officially had enough of Joe Rogan’s unrestrained ability to spread COVID-19 misinformation on his podcast platform, so Neil requested that his music be pulled from the streaming site (Spotify obliged by pulling all of Neil’s solo work). The legendary Joni Mitchell followed Neil by protesting Spotify’s choice to promote “irresponsible people spreading lies” and had her music wiped from the platform as well. Well, Spotify recently found themselves squaring off against two more unhappy famous people that were pissed off enough to…contact Spotify with their complaints! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a multi-year podcast deal with Spotify, but they recently let it be known that they too have voiced their concern about the misinformation spread on the platform. And maybe enough people with legitimate credibility have spoken up because Spotify says they’ll be adding COVID warnings, while Joe Rogan has apologized to Spotify for the backlash.
