Controlling Britney Spears is the follow-up to FX and Hulu’s documentary The New York Times Presents Framing Britney Spears, which came out earlier this year. It’s not to be confused with Netflix’s upcoming Brit Brit doc, Britney Vs Spears, or CNN’s Toxic: Britney Spears’ Battle For Freedom. Basically, everything’s coming up Britney…. documentaries. Controlling Britney Spears was released on Friday, and in it, it’s alleged that her dad/conservator, Jamie Spears, busted out a creepier and more fucked-up version of Every Breath You Take by mirroring her phone and bugging her house so he knew her every move. Cut to that eavesdropping busybody Alexa, looking at Daddy Spears like, “What a creepy fuck, you are!”

Octavia Spencer is no mean ass MA in real life! Unlike the 90 bajiilliondy other people who joked about Britney Spears needing to get a prenup before marrying her boyfriend Sam Asghari, Octavia actually felt bad about it. Even though Sam agreed! Earlier this week when Britney announced her engagement on Instagram, Octavia commented “make him sign a prenup,” days later, Britney deleted her Instagram. Now, Britney said she’s just “taking a little break” from social media to celebrate her engagement and that she’d be back soon. But sounds like Octavia took that shit personally. And she’s very sorry!

Well, what a difference a year (and the threat of being investigated over how he spent his daughter’s money) makes. Because now Daddy Spears is holding up a #FreeBritney sign himself.
The Hollywood Reporter says that yesterday, Daddy Spears, filed a petition to end Britney’s 13-year conservatorship. The judge in the case, Judge Brenda Penny, is probably wearing a neck brace after getting a case of whiplash, because just last month, it seemed like Daddy Spears wasn’t going to walk away from his daughter’s conservatorship that easily. “If I can’t milk coins from my daughter’s fortune, NOBODY CAN!” – Daddy Spears, probably.
Britney Spears’ Lawyer Says That Her Father Wants $2 Million To Step Down As Her Conservator
Last month, Jamie Spears made the #FreeBritney movement reach for a celebratory bottle of sparkling Frapp when he said in court papers that he’s “willing” to step down as Britney Spears co-conservator after 13 years. But then he made bottles of sparkling Frapp immediately go flat by adding that he’ll give up his co-conservator gig when the “time is right” and that “transition needs to be orderly and include a resolution of matters pending before the Court.” And according to Britney Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, the “time” that is right for Daddy Spears to go away is whatever time it is when $2 million of his daughter’s money hits his checking account. Because Mathew has filed papers claiming that Daddy Spears is trying to shake Brit Brit down for even more money. Who knows if Daddy Spears will get a couple of millions to exit stage left from his daughter’s conservatorship, but I do know he’ll probably win Father of the Year for the second year in a row.

That will be discussed at a hearing on September 29th. And Britney’s mom Lynne Spears gave her quick response to Jamie teasing his exit.
