Britney Spears’ Attorney Wants Her Dad Removed As Conservator Immediately So An Investigation Into His Finances Can Commence

Jamie Spears is probably shaking in his boots while his daughter Britney Spears is on Instagram kicking up her heels and a source tells Entertainment Tonight that she feels “more liberated — mentally, emotionally and physically” than she has in years. This week, Britney answered some fan questions that ranged from plans for her garden to what type of potato chip she prefers. And NBC News reports that yesterday, Britney’s attorney Mathew Rosengart filed a petition asking for Jamie’s immediate removal as her conservator claiming Britney “continues to suffer ongoing harm each day that Mr. Spears remains in place as the Conservator of the Estate — emotionally, psychologically, and financially.” Another reason for expediency is because a formal investigation into Jamie’s finances “can only commence fully once Mr. Spears is removed.” Yes, Britney would like to kick her daddy to the curb as quickly and easily as she would a Baked Lays!
Last week a petition was filed to have Jamie removed as conservator of Britney’s estate. The new filing requests that Jamie be removed immediately. NBC News reports:
Britney Spears’ attorney filed a petition Thursday asking the court to immediately remove her father as conservator, noting that an investigation may be required into his financial dealings while in control of her estate.
The filing said that “Mr. Spears has also enriched himself at the expense of his daughter,” noting that Jamie Spears pays himself $2,000 more a month than he gives in allowance to his daughter.
Removal was critical to Britney Spears’ wellbeing and also for an investigation into her father’s use of her money, the filing said.
One of the examples given of Jamie’s financial fuckery was that when Britney asked to go to Maui in July, Jamie objected and was “disapproving of the expenditure” even though it was Britney’s own damn money. Only a monster would stop Britney going to bring joy to those miserable people staying at The White Lotus! She ultimately was allowed to go, but the dispute “caused understandable anguish.” There was apparently also some monkey business going on with payments made to Britney’s business management company. TMZ reports:
One of the big-ticket items Rosengart has flagged … a $500,000 payment to Britney’s former business manager, Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group. Tri Star had been getting a 5% percent commission on Britney’s gross entertainment-related income, and when she was performing the company was getting a bundle because Britney was making an enormous amount of money.
When Britney went on hiatus in 2019, the amount Tri Star was getting dwindled to around $200,000 a year. A rep from the company sent Jamie an email asking to raise the minimum to $500,000, and Jamie approved it, despite an existing agreement that Tri Star allegedly had which did not entitle it to the additional $300,000 a year.
Rosengart also cited Jamie’s request for more than $1.3 million in attorney’s fees, which included $541,000 for “media matters.”
Media matters? What’s he taking out billboards along the highway that read “Hey, I’m Not Such A Bad Guy!” with a picture of him giving a thumbs up? Meanwhile, back at Dancing Beauty’s Castle, Britney recently shared her excitement about getting her first iPad!
A liberated Britney now armed with an iPad that she can use to fire even more shots on Instagram? It’s really over for the Jamies!
