Jonathan Pryce Will Play Prince Philip In Seasons 5 And 6 Of “The Crown”

August 13, 2020 / Posted by:

Despite the fact that we’re still waiting on the 4th season of Netflix’s The Crown (seriously, my patience is wearing thinner than a pair of tasteful modesty hose over here), we’re being given some casting crumbs for the future 5th and 6th seasons. The 5th season time-jumps forward into a new era, which means all the actors get replaced with older versions of their characters. Imelda Staunton will play the oldest and final version of Queen Elizabeth II (previously played by Claire Foy, then Olivia Colman), Lesley Manville will play Princess Margaret (previously played by Vanessa Kirby, then Helena Bonham Carter). Following in the footsteps of the overpaid Matt Smith and the perfectly uncomfortable-looking Tobias Menzies will be Jonathan Pryce as The Crown’s most blunt royal, Prince Philip.

Kristen Stewart Will Play Princess Diana In An Upcoming Biopic

June 17, 2020 / Posted by:

If you had asked me yesterday to write a list of possible headlines announcing some new Kristen Stewart news, here are some that seem well within the realm of possibility:

Kristen Stewart Announces Brand Partnership With Ambien

When Disney first started casting their live-action version of The Little Mermaid, they broke the hearts of racists and Lindsay Lohan by casting Halle Bailey as Ariel. Disney’s cartoon Ariel is a blue-eyed white girl with bright red hair, and Halle isn’t. Clearly they didn’t have the same strategy when choosing a Prince Eric. My guess is someone at Disney called in Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, pointed to an 11-inch Prince Eric doll, and said, “So how much magic wand power would it take to make that thing life-size?

Idris Elba Will Not Be The Next James Bond: Take 100

August 12, 2018 / Posted by:

If you thought the recent flash floods in New York were due to global warming, let me put on my best Trump voice and say that you are “WRONG”. That excessive wetness was a perfectly natural human reaction to the news of a few days ago that Idris Elba and his people were once again in talks for him to play James Bond in the next installment of the soon-to-be panty wringing franchise. But now it looks like this vicious rumor was all made up to keep toying with our emotions, because Idris as Bond isn’t happening anytime soon (again).
