Taylor Swift Has Been Cast In David O. Russell’s Next Movie

June 2, 2021 / Posted by:

You’ve got to hand it to Taylor Swift. Where others might see the reviews from the 2019 flop, Cats, and decide that now was as good a time as any to officially retire from acting, Taylor did not! Those terrible reviews didn’t crush her big-screen dreams, and she’s going to be in another movie. But Taylor will work with David O. Russell, a director who has a decent track record of success. David’s reputation for mutual respect, professionalism, and not being an asshole? That’s just a bit spottier.

Josh Duhamel Might Replace Armie Hammer In “Shotgun Wedding”

January 20, 2021 / Posted by:

About six seconds after Armie Hammer’s stomach-turning, human-eating, safeword-ignoring alleged DMs leaked, Armie claimed that he needed to protect his family from the drama and accusations, and dropped out of the upcoming film, Shotgun Wedding. Armie was supposed to star alongside Jennifer Lopez, but according to Armie, he just couldn’t dream of leaving his two children for 4 months of filming (even though family time doesn’t exactly appear to be his top priority at the moment). Obviously, they needed to replace Armie, and clearly, Christopher Plummer was unavailable because word on the street is that Josh Duhamel is in talks to step into the role left vacant by Hollywood’s current PR nightmare.

Debra Messing Is Disappointed That Nicole Kidman Is In Talks To Play Lucille Ball In An Aaron Sorkin Movie

January 12, 2021 / Posted by:

Anybody with eyeballs and ears knows there’s only one red-haired actress working today who has the acting chops, box office draw and the air of prestige about her required to play an American icon like Lucille Ball and that woman is Debra Messing. Everybody says this all the time. It’s all you ever hear about these days. However, according to Deadline, Nicole Kidman is in talks to play Lucille in an upcoming feature film from the undisputed King of Screwball, Aaron Sorkin. Javier Bardem is in talks to play Lucy’s husband, Desi Arnez. I didn’t know it was even possible to get a prestige project off the ground without first running it by Debra, let alone one featuring a role she was born to play! Debra, understandably, feels she’s been overlooked.

I’m sure Gwyneth Paltrow is pleased to learn that a promising young unknown actor landed the role that will surely change his life. But for others, this casting news is likely causing a whole lot of people to wonder if Hulu is trolling us, or if someone at Hulu needs to check the prescription strength on their glasses. Lady Gaga Has Been Cast In Brad Pitt’s New Movie “Bullet Train”

November 20, 2020 / Posted by:

Lady Gaga could have retired from acting after her showstopping performance in 2018’s A Star is Born, because really, that scene where she nervously ushered a drunk Jackson Maine offstage at the Grammys after he pissed himself is the definition of a career-high. Plus, how many more times can she basically play herself? Like playing a singer (A Star is Born), or a dramatic weirdo (American Horror Story). But Lady Gaga continues to commit hard to that singer-slash-actress title, and it sounds like she’ll be playing against type by appearing in an upcoming action thriller about assassins on a high-speed train in Tokyo.

Zendaya Might Play Ronnie Spector In An Upcoming Biopic

September 30, 2020 / Posted by:

A long, long time ago it was rumored that Zendaya would play Aaliyah in a Lifetime biopic. That of course never happened, but that clearly didn’t kill Zendaya’s dreams of slipping into some throwback wardrobe choices to do her best vocal impression of a Black music industry icon. And it would appear fate stepped in to present Zendaya with a really good biopic project (sorry Lifetime). Because Deadline is saying that Zendaya is in talks to play Ronnie Spector in a movie about Ronnie’s biopic-worthy life.
