There are very few other joys in life than the moment you open up a fresh sausage and egg McMuffin from McDonald’s. Of course, the joy only lasts for a moment since minutes after ingesting such deliciousness the bubble guts kick in to really start your day. And one such individual from Leyland, Lancashire in jolly ol’ England clearly enjoys the warm mix of processed cheese and questionable breakfast meat so much that he waited in a drive-thru for two hours because he refused to leave until his order was fulfilled.

A man in South Africa has gone viral after he proposed to his girlfriend in a McDonald’s and got brutally, publicly rejected. The clip, which ended up on Twitter, shows the dude on one knee, presenting the unnamed woman with a little box (presumably there’s an engagement ring inside, but maybe a McNugget?). The crowd at the McDonald’s cheers, but the woman is having none of it. She shakes her head and says no to her would-be-fiancé. Then she walks out as the crowd boos. After her exit, the failed proposer stands back up and slinks away with his meal.

A quick whiff will tell you if you can still chug that milk down or eat those Pei Wei leftovers. However, there are some food items that should be burnt in hell’s fire the moment you discover them in the back of the fridge. Such is the case with an order of McDonald’s fries that Rob and Grace Jones (no relation, unfortunately) discovered lurking behind their walls. Apparently, these particular fries were in the house for 63 years. There’s the 5-second rule and then there’s the 63-year rule!

The Federal Trade Commission eventually got involved to see what the hell was McUp with those busted machines. And now, a tech company that thinks it could have solved the ice cream machine conundrum is suing McDonald’s for $900 million.
