Open Post: Hosted By The Gross TikTok Video Showing How A McRib Is Made

If you’re not a McDonald’s person, then sit back and let me tell you the tale of the infamous McRib. The McRib is (allegedly) a BBQ pork sandwich that was conjured up by the evil clowns at McDonald’s during the 1980s. Cocaine was responsible for a lot of things back then! Most people thought it was gross but a select few saw past the McRib’s disgusting exterior and fell in love with the disgusting interior. Now 30 years later, a TikTok video has shown us the disgusting way this cult classic sandwich is made.

The video by McDonald’s employee Isaiah Gilley takes us through the steps of preparing the BBQ sandwich, from grabbing two frozen blocks of reconstituted pork meat to the slathering of sickly sweet sauce on the cooked patty. Are you lovin’ it yet?! And without further ado…behold the birth of a McRib!

The behind-the-scenes video has racked up close to 6 million views with most viewers expressing their revulsion with the footage. The New York Post took a look at some of the reactions:

“I got diarrhea just from watching this,” a repulsed commenter confessed in response to McDonald’s kitchen staffer Isaiah Gilley’s viral video on how the behemoth burger brand prepares its seasonal McRib sandwich.

“I have never had a mcrib in my life. After watching this video I am thanking my lucky stars,” said a sickened cyber critic. Other unsavory comments like “McGross” and “that looks nauseating” followed behind. And one apparent McRib buff was stunned to learn that the heralded hoagie isn’t served up fresh off the grill.

“Wait…! So it’s not made to order, flame grilled over a wood burnin BBQ pit, smothered with Texas tangy BBQ sauce & grilled onions??!!,” the shocked watcher wrote, emphasizing their dismay with the mind-blown emoji.

To be honest, there’s nothing all that surprising about how this thing is made. It looks like any other fast-food abomination. I had a friend who used to work in fast food and when it comes to the stories he’s told me of what goes on in the kitchen, there are other tangy sauces in the food that we should be worried about!
