Adam McKay Is Producing A Movie About The January 6 Capitol Riots

January 21, 2022 / Posted by:

It’s been just over a year since a pack of unwashed maniacs bum-rushed the U.S. Capitol and took a dump on the democratic process (and also the rugs). So of course, a bunch of Hollywood dudes are falling over themselves to be the first to stunt cast the QAnon Shaman. Poor Aaron Sorkin’s head must be spinning because, according to Deadline, Adam McKay has swooped in with lightning speed to comment “FIRST!” Fresh off of making a mockery of climate change with Don’t Look Up, Adam’s poised to make a mockery of “the worst domestic attack on democracy since the Civil War” as producer of F6 with writer/director Billy Ray, the man who made a mockery of the Trump administration with the Showtime series The Comey Rule. Are you tired? I know I’m tired. Why aren’t Hollywood dudes tired yet?

Leonardo DiCaprio Objected To Meryl Streep Doing A Nude Scene In “Don’t Look Up”

December 14, 2021 / Posted by:

Irmelin Indenbirken, Leonardo DiCaprio’s mom, was born in 1945 which means she was about 31 years old when Leo was born. So it’s no wonder Leo was reportedly skeeved out by the thought of his Don’t Look Up costar Meryl Streep naked. His mom’s is probably the oldest pussy he’s ever seen! And that was only from the inside. According to Us Weekly, while Meryl was perfectly OK with doing a nude scene and wearing a tramp stamp for her role as the fictional President of the United States, Leo “didn’t like seeing her with the lower back tattoo, walking for a second naked.” Apparently, he respects her, and the office, too much.

Adam McKay Talked About His Fallout With Will Ferrell

November 30, 2021 / Posted by:

Time for some straight boy drama! Back in 2019 Will Ferrell and Adam McKay announced they were ending their professional partnership. These two collaborated on movies like Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Step Brothers, and produced a bunch of projects through their company, Gary Sanchez Productions. At the time of the split, they said, “The two of us will always work together creatively and always be friends. And we recognize we are lucky as hell to end this venture as such.” But guess what? That was bullshit. And now Adam is spilling all the dirt in a new Vanity Fair profile. And it’s kind of a big deal (Anchorman quote, my apologies).

Here’s The Trailer For The All-Star Netflix Movie “Don’t Look Up”

September 8, 2021 / Posted by:

Jennifer Lawrence plays a nerdy relatable scientist in the upcoming Netflix movie Don’t Look Up and I’m only telling you this in case the wig doesn’t give it away. Now, I’ll be the first to admit that I thought she was playing a hacker or computer-specific nerd based on the bluntness of the bang and the nose ring, but Variety confirms that she and Leonardo DiCaprio play “astronomy grad student,” and “her professor” respectively, if Leo’s greasy hair and corduroy jacket didn’t give it away. With this level of wardrobe acting going on, you don’t even need Meryl Streep! And you certainly don’t need to put her in Nancy Reagan drag with two-barrel curls the size of elephant dicks threatening to chew up all the scenery. That’s Meryl’s meal! But you do it anyway. And you throw in Tyler Perry, Timothée Chalamet, Jonah Hill, Ariana Grande and Cate Blanchett for good measure. Because you’re Adam McKay and you can.

Mark Ruffalo Might Star In HBO’s Limited Series Based On “Parasite”

February 10, 2020 / Posted by:

Parasite literally JUST won Best Picture at the academy awards so you know what that means: Time for a REEEEEEEMAKE, BABY! What better time to ruin a good thing than immediately after said good thing gets popular. According to Collider, HBO is currently working on a limited series inspired by the movie, and is eyeing Mark Ruffalo to star. The project is still in the early stages but I’m guessing it will be all of the cutting commentary on class, but without all those pesky subtitles and unfamiliar faces. The only silver lining here is that Parasite director Bong Joon-ho and his co-author Han Jin-won will be involved. Vice director Adam McKay is also on board.
