Meghan Markle recently had the Queen of Bimbos, Paris Hilton, on her podcast Archetypes to discuss being stereotyped as a bimbo (I cannot get behind her usage of “archetype“). Meghan made many an eye roll by talking about how her stint as a briefcase model on Deal or No Deal made her feel like a bimbo. Whoopi Goldberg basically said that when you’re an entertainer, you do the job and shut it; and ex-Real Housewife of Atlanta and former DOND briefcase model, Claudia Jordan, spoke out against Meghan’s account of her experience. Both takes are warranted, because why would Meghan think that opening numbered briefcases with dollar amounts in them would be intellectually stimulating? Surely, the entirety of the casting description was to “look cute, pop latches, and clap.” But apparently, not everyone muttered “oh, fuck OFF,” under their breaths; Howie Mandel, who hosted DOND, defended Meghan’s comments.
When I think of Howie Mandel, it usually conjures up memories of catching Bobby’s World on a Saturday morning; being in suspense while he chatted on the phone with “the banker” as the host of Deal or No Deal; and just mostly good, clean fun–like, really really clean, because he’s an admitted germaphobe and has been open about his struggles with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. But, he recently did the unfathomable by posting a TikTok that made the internet dry-heave in disgust and clench their ass cheeks in sympathy pain for whoever the poor soul is who’s featured. Howie nonchalantly tossed up a graphic video of an anal prolapse that he stitched himself over. He said it was his “friend” and asked if COVID could have been the cause of the prolapse. Aside from that, he provided no other context, explanation, apologies, or sickbags for anyone who caught a glimpse before it was removed.
UPDATE: Howie Mandel tweeted that he’s okay now and is at home.
I am home and doing better. I was dehydrated and had low blood sugar. I appreciate the great doctors and nurses that took such good care of me. Thank you to everyone who reached out but I am doing ok!

Here’s the original post:
Howie Mandel was rushed to the hospital this morning after passing out at his local Starbucks in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles. The 65-year-old was getting coffee with his wife and friends when he suddenly lost consciousness and fell over. He was then laid out on a cement bench (comfy, thanks guys!), paramedics were called to the scene, and they took Howie to a Tarzana hospital.
If you were in LA yesterday and spotted an astronaut prancing around a parking lot and giving double thumbs up to the paps, it wasn’t Buzz Aldrin on a bender. It was Howie Mandel on his way to a taping of America’s Got Talent. Howie has OCD and has been open about his fear of germs. It’s why he opted for fist bumps instead of handshakes on Deal or No Deal. Ahead of his time, that one. So now that Howie’s forced to go back to his job as host of a talent competition, he’s taking some over-the-top precautions to stay COVID-free. Or it’s a joke. I dunno. Either way, it’s extra straight man theatrics. Continue reading
Gabrielle Union Says Simon Cowell’s Smoking Gave Her Bronchitis On The Set Of “America’s Got Talent”
Last fall Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough were fired as judges on NBC’s America’s Got Talent. It soon came out that Gabrielle’s forced exit may have been related to her “difficult” (sigh) habit of calling out on-set racism and sexism. By December, AGT was being investigated by SAG-AFTRA, and NBC was in full damage control mode, claiming they were working with Gabrielle’s people to “hear more about her concerns”.
Gabrielle has tweeted a little about these reports, including responding to AGT host Terry Crews’ sycophant “huh? NBC isn’t racist” comments. But she hasn’t given a full account of her experience. Not until an interview with Variety, where she got into it. Gabrielle says she realized something was rotten in the state of AGT from Day One, when fellow judge/executive producer Simon Cowell casually smoked indoors. Not just a violation of public health laws, but dangerous, because Gabrielle is highly allergic! Continue reading
Gabrielle Union‘s firing from America’s Got Talent snowballed fast. It was announced that she and Julianne Hough would not be returning and there were whispers that it was because Gabrielle complained about workplace racial issues she witnessed, including racist jokes and sexist remarks. Well, now NBC is scrambling into damage control mode and Gabrielle isn’t making it any easier for them. Meanwhile, Jay Leno, who allegedly made a racist joke on-set, is speaking about it.
