Whoopi Goldberg And Claudia Jordan Clap Back At Meghan Markle For Her “Deal Or No Deal” ‘Bimbo Comment

Long gone are the days when Meghan Markle had to rely on her beauty to charm the masses on Deal Or No Deal because her beauty isn’t charming anyone over in jolly ol’ England. And even though she’ll never have to parade around in clearance rack Forever 21 outfits anymore, she still wanted to express how objectified she felt during her time as one of the 26 Case Queens on the show. Well, her words fell upon some very awakened ears as both The View host Whoopi Goldberg and her former co-worker Claudia Jordan are making Meghan eat her words with a few of their own.

Whoopi and Claudia must have had the same reaction when they heard Meghan’s words about feeling like a fresh slab of ribs at the cookout because they’ve both countered her harrowing tale. First, let’s start with Whoopi. Uproxx reports during a segment of The View, Whoopi put on her best Auntie voice to check Meghan for her statement. She explained that as an entertainer, you do the job that’s given to you. And if that means barely blinking while smiling so wide the corners of your mouth touch the bottom of your eyelids, do your work!

“The objectification might be coming from you and how you felt about how these women were being portrayed,” Goldberg said in response to Markle’s complaints before spelling out the nature of the entertainment business.

“That’s what you have to change because we’re performers. When you’re a performer, you take the gig. Sometimes you’re in a bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is. We’re not journalists. We’re actors. We’re trying to get to another place.”

As Goldberg continued to push back on Markle’s remarks, she eventually landed at the crux of her argument. “Just maybe you don’t want to make the other women feel bad because maybe they’re trying to make a living, too,” Goldberg said.

And Deadline reports that former Real Housewives of Atlanta shit-stirrer Claudia Jordan also chimed in on Instagram. She, too, wore pounds of weave and war paint on Deal Or No Deal as a briefcase model for the game show’s first four seasons. Claudia defended her old job, saying the gig led to other gigs, which is what you want as a working actor. And she recalls nothing but good times and praised host Howie Mandel, whom she claims was nothing more than a perfect gentleman with the ladies.

“For clarity — yes getting a modeling gig on a game show isn’t necessarily about your intellect but every show the executive producers picked five models with the most outgoing and fun personalities to place mics on who they knew would engage with the contestants,” Jordan shared on her Instagram Stories.

In a second post she continued, “And Deal or No Deal never treated us like bimbos. We got so many opportunities because of that show.”

Claudia also wanted everyone to know she wasn’t shading Meghan because she’s constantly defending her. However, she didn’t want people to think Deal Or No Deal was like Sodom and Gomorra, with producers grabbing at their asses and titties during commercial breaks. So Thanks for your offer, Meghan. But the world is collectively turning to you and shouting, “NO DEAL!” because this case, is closed.
