Amy Schumer Swears She Didn’t Tell Any Stolen Jokes At The Oscars

April 7, 2022 / Posted by:

While watching Amy Schumer tell jokes at the Oscars, some caught a case of déjà vu. Because a few of Amy’s monologue jokes sounded just a little too familiar, and they let it be known that they suspected Amy of being guilty of joke-stealing. But during an appearance on last night’s Watch What Happens Live, Amy said she’s not guilty of stealing anything, so the accusations can stop. Or, at least let the accusations be re-directed to the writer that wrote her Oscar jokes.

Amy Schumer Shared A “Joke” About Alec Baldwin’s “Rust” Shooting That She Wasn’t “Allowed” To Tell At The Oscars

Artists take their pain and trauma and create art with it. That’s what they’ve always done. And nobody, and I mean nobody, was more triggered and traumatized by The Slap Will Smith delivered during last Sunday’s Oscars than Amy Schumer. So naturally, she gets first dibs on cracking jokes about it in her comedy show. The only other person with a stronger case for first dibs is The Slappee himself, Chris Rock. But gentleman that he is, he let her go first since she’s a delicate flower for whom “processing” and “unpacking” in private would be too taxing on her feminine constitution. So while Chris eschewed discussing The Slap in his recent show, Amy took a more direct approach toward healing. At a show over the weekend in Las Vegas, Amy shared a joke that the Academy wouldn’t let her tell about Alec Baldwin shooting and killing Rust cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Amy truly is the Picasso of pain, and I’m not saying that just because the audience’s eyes were probably sliding all around their faces willy-nilly from looking at her sideways. It’s just that I shudder to think of what type of off-color jokes she’ll tell once she enters her Blue Period.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy Made An Appearance At Last Night’s Grammys

Before Amy Schumer co-hosted the Oscars last week, along with Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall, she said that she tried to get Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make a cameo appearance on the show. It didn’t happen and thank God because he would have been upstaged by a Telenovella-quality slap. Instead, President Zelenskyy appeared via a pre-recorded message at last night’s 64th annual Grammy Awards to remind us about Putin’s devastating attack on his country.

Amy Schumer Says She’s Still “Triggered And Traumatized” From The Oscars Slap

March 30, 2022 / Posted by:

We’re currently on Day 4 of Slaptoberfest (I don’t know if we’ve given it a nickname yet, but my vote is for that, or Sunday, Slappy Sunday, if it’s not too clumsy). We’ve had multiple updates about how Will Smith is doing after he, to quote Chris Rock himself, slapped the shit out of Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars on Sunday night. Will Smith is apologetic, while Will’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith is informed everyone that she’s currently in a “season for healing.” Almost everyone seems to have an opinion on The Slap, whether they were present in the audience or not. Now we’re hearing from 2022 Oscars co-host Amy Schumer, who is still shaken up by the whole thing.

After People Dragged Amy Schumer, She Confirmed Kirsten Dunst Was In On The Seat Filler Bit At The Oscars

March 29, 2022 / Posted by:

Obviously, there was one major drama at the 2022 Oscars (I am, of course, referring to the We Don’t Talk About Bruno Oscar Night Remix ft. Megan Thee Stallion), but we mustn’t forget about the tinier dramas. Including co-host Amy Schumer getting flack for joking that Best Supporting Actress nominee Kirsten Dunst was a seat-filler. The big question is: will Kiki press charges?

Amy Schumer Made Fun Of Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall Looked For A Man, And All Three Hosts Chanted “Gay! Gay! Gay!” At Last Night’s Oscars

March 28, 2022 / Posted by:

As expected, the Oscars had three hosts last night: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes. And they joked that the Academy hired three women because it’s cheaper than hiring one man. But after that, they all went in different directions. Wanda Sykes did Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall turned the Oscars into a dating show (while possibly catching a sexual harassment charge), and Amy Schumer decided to become the Ricky Gervais of the Oscars by mildly roasting tricks.
