During an interview on CBS This Morning to promote Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Gayle King asked Jim Carrey for his thoughts on Will Smith turning the 2022 Oscars into a sad episode of Celebrity Deathmatch by slapping down Chris Rock. Jim was “sickened” by everyone in the audience who gave Will a standing ovation for winning Best Actor and added that “Hollywood is just spineless en masse ” and is no longer the “cool club.” And that if Will slapped him, Will would be facing a $200 million lawsuit from him. Some are praising Jim for his opinion and others are dragging him. But I just think everybody needs to calm down and pace themselves. I mean, at least 56,937,999 more actors will be asked about this in the next few days so save some of your energy for those responses! – Just Jared
And in some sweet Oscar-related news, Mac N Cheese, the puppy who Jamie Lee Curtis held while honoring Betty White during the Oscars In Memoriam segment, has been adopted by John Travolta. So Mac ‘N Cheese went from shelter puppy to Oscar spotlight-stealer to puppy of a millionaire in one night. The networking skills of Mac N Cheese are unmatched! Although, in the picture with John, Mac N Cheese might be thinking, “Um, just keep me away from the E-meters and we’ll be good.” – SOW
