Amy Schumer Made Fun Of Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall Looked For A Man, And All Three Hosts Chanted “Gay! Gay! Gay!” At Last Night’s Oscars

As expected, the Oscars had three hosts last night: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall, and Wanda Sykes. And they joked that the Academy hired three women because it’s cheaper than hiring one man. But after that, they all went in different directions. Wanda Sykes did Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall turned the Oscars into a dating show (while possibly catching a sexual harassment charge), and Amy Schumer decided to become the Ricky Gervais of the Oscars by mildly roasting tricks.

Regina is clearly tired of being single and during the show, she called up some of the men in the audience for a surprise COVID test, Bradley Cooper, Simu LiuTimothée Chalamet, and Tyler Perry. Obviously, there was no COVID test, and when Regina explained she would be swabbing their mouths with her tongue the jig was pretty much up. She also joked about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith‘s allegedly open marriage and managed to tell that joke without getting a Will Smith hand to the face:

Regina then patted down Jason Momoa and Josh Brolin to check for more “COVID.” Although, Regina really needed to exit stage left and ask for a medic to treat her for dehydration since she was obviously every layer of thirsty:

As for Amy, she did tell Access Hollywood on the Oscars red carpet that “nobody is safe”  so she prepared everyone for some mild roasting. And that included making fun of Leonardo DiCaprio’s love of fetus-aged girlfriends while telling a joke that she may have snatched from Twitter, via Insider:

“Leonardo DiCaprio, what can I even say about him?” Schumer said. “He’s done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends.”

Following a lot of laughter, Schumer then added: “Because he’s older, and they’re younger, okay you get it.”

Amy also dragged Being The Ricardos for achieving the impossible task of making a movie about Lucille Ball without any laughs in it:

And, I mean, this is Amy Schumer, so she managed to slide in an incest joke about Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal as well. via Decider:

As she scanned the room, she pointed out the evening’s attendees and congratulating them for their work. “During a raging pandemic, you made a movie, give yourselves a hand, that’s incredible, you did it!” she told those in the audience. “And yet…they weren’t all great. A lot of them were pretty hard to understand, you know who you are, I didn’t see many… any of of them. I didn’t see them. I have a toddler so I just watched Encanto 190 times.”

“Inspirational, isn’t it? After years of Hollywood ignoring womens’ stories, we finally got a movie about the incredible Williams’ sisters’… dad,” she deadpanned, before rolling into a joke about the night’s hottest couples. “Will, Jada, what a beautiful couple. We’re honoring a lot of couples here tonight, actually. Jada and Will Smith. Penelope and Javier Bardem. Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal. A night for lovers!” Schumer joked as the camera held on the Gyllenhaal… siblings.

The hosts also called out Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill by saying “gay” more than the bullies at my high school.

And in case you missed it, here’s John Travolta’s reaction to the hosts showering the audience with GAYs:

Whoever audits John at the Scientology Celebrity Centre today is gonna get an earful!

But I was sad to see that Amy wasn’t able to “go there” and bring President Zelenskyy on the show to speak about Ukraine. But if Amy really wants to help Ukraine, she should convince Will Smith to go fight for the Ukrainian army and slap those Russian soldiers out of the country.
