“The Queen’s Gambit” Director Scott Frank Got Dragged For His Long, Rude Acceptance Speech
During last night’s Emmys,The Queen’s Gambit director, Scott Frank, won Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie and took out two sheets of 8.5″ by 11″ paper before speaking for 3 minutes and 40 seconds (winners are allotted 45 seconds). After a minute and 20 seconds, the orchestra tried to play Scott’s ass off, and his response was a very entitled, “Really? No.” Then he sneered, waved his hand, and rudely said, “Seriously. Stop the music.” The music followed orders and stopped, but returned 25 seconds later. Again, Scott ignored it, although he gave a dismissive, “I’m almost done.” The music, again, stopped. One whole minute later (didn’t he say he was almost done?!) the music came back, and that’s when Scott decided to end his precious little speech and leave the stage. Hey, it’s Scott Frank’s world, and we’re just livin’ in it! Continue reading
Elon Musk Has Opinions On Gender Pronouns––And So Does Grimes
Anytime I ever see a Tesla speeding down the street, I think to myself, “they’re kinda nice cars, I should get one someday” (Tesla would totally accept my proposed payment plan of $50/month over 10,000 years, right?) But then, as quickly as I begin fantasizing about my custom Hello Kitty plush interiors, I’m reminded that Elon Musk is a cartoon supervillain come to life. And yesterday, Elon must have been bored and decided to fuck with people, because he shared his unprovoked thoughts on gender pronouns. And you can pretty much guess how it went.
Chris Brown Went After Chvrches For Criticizing His Collaboration With Marshmello
Washington state is inches away from passing a bill that will end clock changes and make it Pacific Daylight Time year-round. Sloth-like humans are saying HELL YES to the change, with only a few sadists in the state House voting to continue the evil tradition of rising in pitch blackness in the bowels of winter with a Vote of 89 to 7. Regardless of this potential bucking of the system and upset of the status quo, the world is still spinning, the birds are still chirping, and Chris Brown is still being an asshole. In other words, nothing has changed. There’s a new tale of Chris Brown assholery today, this time against the Scottish band Chvrches, who publicly stated their disappointment in DJ/Producer Marshmello for working with Chris and Tyga on an upcoming project.
Bebe Rexha Cursed Out An Audience For Not Singing Along To Her Song
I’m curious, does anyone know if it’s possible to jump the shark on yourself? Somebody get The Fonz on the line for a little clarification on the matter, because I’m trying to figure out whether Bebe Rexha just killed her blink-and-you-missed-it singing career or cemented herself on a track t0 mini-pop star status when she ripped her audience new assholes without lube at a pre-Grammy event on Thursday night. It’s a 50/50 proposition, right? Continue reading
Kirstie Alley Is The Latest Relevant Celebrity To Support Trump
This presidential election season has been pretty celebrity-heavy and thank God for that, because we need desperately need them to use their political insight to show us the way. George and Amal Clooney are throwing VERY expensive dinners for Hillary Clinton and Rosario Dawson is rallying the crowds for BernFest2k16. And then there’s the really elite, top of the top, cream of the crop celebrity crew coming together to support orange turd, Donald Trump! And one of those elite supporters is Kirstie Alley.
