Soho Scammer Anna Delvey Hosted A House Arrest Birthday Party And Made Guests Sign NDAs and Asked For Their Social Security Numbers
Anna Sorokin, AKA Anna Delvey–the Russian-born scammer who pretended to be a German heiress to swindle millions of dollars from rich and not-so-rich New Yorkers–celebrated her 32nd birthday while still under house arrest and, according to sources, the party was a great time and featured all the New York glitterati, who handed over signed NDAs and maybe even their social security numbers to Anna upon entry.
From Time magazine to time behind bars. One of this century’s greatest scammers, Elizabeth Holmes, is soon to be jailed despite being too pretty for it. After promising multiple high-profile investors that the Edison, her blood testing machine, would revolutionize the medical industry, Elizabeth got into some hot water once it was discovered that it was just a slightly used scanner that she picked up from behind an Office Max. What happens when you’ve been caught up in fraud, and the feds are after you? You skip town to Mexico, of course! According to prosecutors, Elizabeth hatched a plan to escape the country and booked a one-way flight to Mexico. SPOILER ALERT: much like the Edison, it didn’t work.
The lawsuit against Kim Kardashian, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and more, has been dismissed by a California federal judge. The celebs were being sued by investors of EthereumMax, who claimed that EthereumMax executives schemed with celebrity promoters to drive up the price of the EMax token and sell their own tokens for profit. Well, the lawsuit failed, but maybe the investors should see if they can use any of their useless tokens at one of Brie Larson‘s Metaverse art galleries.
Elizabeth Holmes Will Be Sentenced Today, And She’s Asking For 18 Months On House Arrest While Prosecutors Want 15 Years In The Clink (UPDATE: She Got 11 Years)
UPDATE: Well, so much for that cushy 18-month house arrest sentence she wanted. Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced to 11.25 years in the chokey and three years of supervised release. She’ll start serving her sentence in April 2023.
Here’s the original post:
Today is Scammers Reckoning Day for Elizabeth Holmes, the disgraced former CEO of bogus health tech company Theranos. Back in January, 38-year-old Elizabeth was found guilty on 4 out of 11 charges of fraud, and today she will finally be sentenced. Prosecutors are seeking a 15-year prison term for Elizabeth and want her to pay $800 million in restitution to investors she scammed, including the Walton family of Walmart, Rupert Murdoch, and Walgreens. Elizabeth’s lawyers are asking for a touch less: a mere 18 months on house arrest. They’re presenting her as a devoted mother. Elizabeth is married to 29-year-old hotel heir Billy Evans, and they have one child, a 1-year-old son, and a second on the way (yep, she’s pregnant again!). Wait, making babies can help you stay out of prison? Jen Shah, it’s time to unfreeze those eggs! Continue reading
Bethenny Frankel Called Out Kylie Cosmetics For Scamming People By Charging More For Special Packaging
It takes a lot to get on the side of the “well-rested, happy” Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel; but lately, she’s been spending her time on TikTok, reviewing beauty products, and railing against Instagram filter culture and the KarJenners. And while I’m apprehensive about giving her any credit due to the vast amount of dumb shit that’s come out of her talk-hole in the past, valid points have been made recently. In her newest KarJenner rant, she came for Kylie Jenner’s company, Kylie Cosmetics, and their quest to scam sweet morons out of their hard-earned cash by charging $117 more for makeup that comes in a special paper box vs. the exact same products without the box.
Scamming Fake German Heiress, Anna Sorokin, Has Been Released From Jail But Banned From Using All Forms Of Social Media
Anna “Anna Delvey” Sorokin–the faux-German (actually Russian), faux-trust fund baby who scammed several businesses and rich New Yorkers out of money under the guise of paying them back once she opened a social club she was going to call “The Anna Delvey Foundation”–served out her jail sentence after she was convicted of not being rich enough to be allowed to fuck other people out of their money, and eventually ended up being detained again as she tried to fight with ICE about being deported. But, everyone hold on to your wallets; Anna has been set free, but with a sentence that is probably worse than death to a superficial social climber like her: she has to stay in her house and has been banned from using all forms of social media as a condition of her release.
