After months of trying to delay her 11-year prison sentence and the New York Times helping her rehabilitate her image, Theranos fraudster Elizabeth Holmes has finally reported to the clink. According to the Associated Press, 39-year-old Elizabeth (sorry, Liz) entered a federal women’s prison camp in Bryan, Texas earlier today. And, small world alert, it’s the same minimum security facility where the feds sent Housewives telemarketing scammer Jen Shah. Man, I hope these two become grifter-besties and star in their own prison reality show called House Of Fraud with Holmes & Shah.

Elizabeth Holmes is headed to prison… soon. Maybe. Eventually. The Theranos fraudster was supposed to start serving her 11-year sentence on April 27, but she got it delayed with a last-minute appeal. Yesterday, The New York Times published a series of interviews with her entitled, “Liz Holmes Wants You to Forget About Elizabeth.” It’s the first time Elizabe- sorry, LIZ has spoken with the media since 2016, and Business Insider described the piece as an obvious attempt to rehabilitate her public image before she heads to the clink.

UPDATE: Well, so much for that cushy 18-month house arrest sentence she wanted. Elizabeth Holmes was sentenced to 11.25 years in the chokey and three years of supervised release. She’ll start serving her sentence in April 2023.

Back in January, 38-year-old Elizabeth was found guilty on 4 out of 11 charges of fraud, and today she will finally be sentenced. Prosecutors are seeking a 15-year prison term for Elizabeth and want her to pay $800 million in restitution to investors she scammed, including the Walton family of Walmart, Rupert Murdoch, and Walgreens. Elizabeth’s lawyers are asking for a touch less: a mere 18 months on house arrest. They’re presenting her as a devoted mother.
