It’s been announced that the Color Purple movie musical adaptation is a sure thing. No, not the musical biopic of Prince‘s life post Purple Rain. The OTHER purple masterpiece that was a Tony award winning musical based on an Oscar nominated movie based on the Pulitzer Prize winning book. Are you still following? The Color Purple is now being turned into a movie based on the musical based on the movie based on the book. Oh, Hollywood- you really know how to milk a good thing when you see it!
Chris Pine Doesn’t Mind That The Internet Slobbered Over His Naked Body
If you are the type of person who gets moisty for a pair of perfectly combed caterpillar eyebrows, piercing blue eyes and a strong jaw line, whip out your calendar and circle November 9th with a red poster board size Sharpie. The good news is that on November 9th, Chris Pine‘s new movie Outlaw King will be released. As some of us already know, it features him butt naked, dangly bits and all. The best news is that it will be released on Netflix so you can enjoy it in the privacy of your own home.
Chris was a guest on The Graham Norton Show last night, and while sandwiched between Sally Field and Rami Malek (that’s a sandwich I would order twice), Graham pressed him about the recent Twitterverse responses to his naked appearance in Outlaw King.

The official premiere for A Star Is Born, which has had what feels like THE LONGEST rollout in all of movie history, happened last night at The Shrine Auditorium in LA. There were a lot of randos on the red carpet, but it turns out there were a lot of randos in the movie. We all know that it stars Lady Gaga as Ally The Ingénue and Bradley Cooper as Jackson Maine The Leather Satchel. But you might be surprised to learn that the cast also includes Andrew Dice Clay as Lorenzo The Geriatric DJ (judging from his outfit last night) and Willam Belli as Emerald The Real Star, Henny.
The Queen Is The New Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
Variety reports that the rumors are true, Claire Foy of The Crown will take over for Rooney Mara and play Lisbeth Salander in the Daniel Craig-less sequel to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Claire will be ditching the fancy hat and gloves and donning some dark hacker gear to star in The Girl In The Spider’s Web. Director Fede Alvarez said this about casting her:
“Claire is an incredible, rare talent who will inject a new and exciting life into Lisbeth. I can’t wait to bring this new story to a worldwide audience, with Claire Foy at its center.”
What he doesn’t say is how Claire is going to inject new and exciting life, and I have a pretty good idea: CORGIS! Claire should sneak onto The Crown set and swipe two or three of those yapping bitches (and maybe a photo of Prince Philip’s young butt from season one) and use them in The Girl In The Spider’s Web. Those corgis may not stand tall, but those little paws move fast and could probably hack a hell of a lot quicker than Lisbeth!

Another Blair Witch Project Sequel Is Coming
Prepare to find mysterious teeth in a pile of twigs outside of your tent, and to jump the fuck out of your seat at very little. They announced that there’s another sequel to 1999’s The Blair Witch Project on the way at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday.
