Earlier this month a group of 270 doctors and scientists released an open letter to Spotify asking them to do something about “menace to public health” Joe Rogan because he keeps mouth-farting out all sorts of COVID-19-related misinformation to his millions of listeners. Then this week, Neil Young threw down an ultimatum to Spotify, telling them that either Joe Rogan goes, or he goes. Spotify sided with Joe Rogan and pulled most of Neil Young’s music, which was the opposite of $urprising since Spotify has a $100 million multi-year deal with Joe Rogan. And now the legendary Joni Mitchell, whose vast catalog is a treasure trove for ears, has announced that she’s looked at it from both sides now and she’s on Neil’s side.

On Monday, Neil Young, who believes in COVID-19 vaccines, posted an open letter to his personal website declaring his intention to pull all his music if Spotify didn’t finally do something about the unsubstantiated COVID claims Joe Rogan makes on their platform. Spotify took Neil up on his offer and removed most of his songs.

According to Page Six, Shailene was reacting to a photo published by The Daily Mail which purported to show her fiance, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, strolling around with a cup of coffee after being diagnosed with COVID-19. In a video taken at a sold-out show in Nashville, Tennessee, this elder statesman of stage and screen has offered a message to “that community” (“the LBGTQ [sic] community”) that is trying to “cancel” him for transphobic remarks he made in his Netflix comedy special, The Closer, which prompted a protest by some Netflix employees. Dave says he’s willing to talk to them, but only if they meet his demands. And this hostage taker is all “Don’t move or Free Speech here takes one to the head!”

Joe Rogan finally said something I agree with when he told people that he’s “not a respected source of information.” Joe, who is not a medical expert, got heat from an actual medical expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci, after he told young people not to get the coronavirus vaccine if they’re “like 21,” “healthy,” “exercising all the time” and “eating well.” Yup the cure for coronavirus is eating vegetables on the daily. Clearly, this is dumb advice since coronavirus can, and has, and continues to randomly fuck up the systems of healthy people leaving them with long-lasting medical issues; and hey, other people can catch coronavirus from you and die themselves. So Joe wants us to know that he knows all that and he’s not anti-vax and actually he’s just a moron and we should never listen to him. Agree, completely!
