Diplo Headlined A Super Bowl Super-Spreader Party On Saturday
Yesterday’s National Sporting Event has me convinced that American has officially lost the plot in regards to the coronavirus pandemic and now Alexa is just going to go ahead and finish the story and will ping us when The End is out for delivery. And it wasn’t just the Super Bowl, our national need for spectacle, pandemic be damned, extended well past the football field and super-spread out into the streets. CNN reports that a Diplo headlined a party held at Tampa’s WTR Bar & Grill at The Godfrey Hotel on Saturday, was a particularly egregious event that drew thousands of drunken, maskless maniacs and upset officials. But don’t worry, looks like Diplo has been vaccinated for COVID-19 so he’ll probably be fine. But most of us are fucked.
John Legend Called Out “Your Former Favorite Rappers” At A Biden/Harris Rally
While performing at a campaign event supporting the Biden/Harris ticket in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania last night, John Legend took a moment to call Donald Trump’s Platinum Plan for Black America “nothing but fool’s gold” and then went in on “some of your former favorite rappers,” like Lil Wayne, for falling for that shit. John went on to say “The president isn’t strong, he’s a coward.” Ha! Goes to show what he knows. Would a coward call notorious gangster and all-around scary dude Lil Pump, “Little Pimp” TO HIS FACE in the same tone used to call a shy kitten over for a sip of milk? Because that’s just what the president did in front of a crowd of hundreds of unmasked supporters, so you tell me, who’s a coward now Mr. John Legend!? Lil Pump might be all of 4’10″ and 98 pounds soaking wet (76 lbs after his locks dry) but he’s earned his respect the hard way— on the mean streets of Copenhagen.

Bear in mind, this is an old picture of 50 Cent and President Donald Trump, taken eight months before he became President in 2016. But that picture can sort of serve as the ultimate proof of 50’s flip-flopping ability. First, he takes a smiling picture with Trump, and captions it: “Me and my president maybe.” Then a year later, 50 claims he had turned down a $500,000 check for a Trump campaign appearance, because it was, “not good money.”
And just like the first time Trump ran, 50 Cent came out in support of Trump, in one of the stupidest ways possible, by claiming he’d be voting for Trump because Joe Biden was going to tax too much of his money. Then 50’s ex Chelsea Handler got involved as the unofficial voice of reason, and what do you know, 50 is once again walking back his support of Trump.

Every once in a while, we’re reminded of one of the more random, weird Hollywood couples of the past, and you go, “Oh yeah, that’s right – Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent were a thing.” Here we are, once again being reminded that Chelsea and 50 were a thing. But this time, the reminder has come with a bit of ex-boyfriend drama. A few days ago, 50 Cent came out in support of Donald Trump, because he was terrified that possible future president Joe Biden would take all his money through taxes. Chelsea was grossed out by that, and quickly let 50 know that that’s the kind of thing that knocks a man off the #1 position of her Favorite Ex-Boyfriends List.

Sometimes when two people get married, one of the spouses will take the other’s name which can make things complicated if later that couple should split, especially if the split is acrimonious. What’s less common is when two people get married and one of the spouses co-trademarks the other’s name, which is what Nicole Young claims to be the case in her marriage to Dr. Dre aka Andre Young. According to Page Six, Nicole’s not about to forget about Dre because in addition to asking for $2 million a month in spousal support, she is suing him for “secretly” transferring valuable trademarks, including the name Dr. Dre “as well as his landmark album, ‘The Chronic,’” immediately after kicking her out of their home.
