You know it’s not really Pride month if we don’t expose the reason why Pride exists in the first place: Discrimination! Well, honestly, Pride is now all about parties and endorsements, however, what its intended use should be is for fighting against discrimination and horrible homophobes. Enter Elliot Page, who has quite a few stories of the things he’s encountered as a gay and trans actor in Tinsel Town. In his memoir, Pageboy Elliot recalls a time after he came out as gay in 2014 (and before his transition in 2020) when he and an unnamed A-list actor were having a conversation about homosexuality, to which the actor replied, “Nah, that’s not real. Lemme give you some dick!” And the reason Elliot added this story to his memoir is because he knows these are the kinds of stories that are relatable for every member of the LGBTQ+ community.

Last Thursday, rainbow flags dropped from the heavens and blanketed the entire world in multicolored bliss in celebration of Pride month. We can be certain to see all kinds of signage and messages of love and acceptance (until July 1, that is) and hear various opinions of what Pride means to different people. One such person, Abbott Elementary‘s Tyler James Williams, wanted to inform everyone of two things. The first is that he is not gay. The second is that he thinks it’s wrong for anyone to speculate on someone else’s sexuality because it makes that person feel unsafe.

Remy Ma just celebrated her 43rd birthday–according to the government and what we human people consider the measurement of time. But just because Remy has been on this planet for 43 revolutions around the Sun, only 35 of those count. You see, Remy was in jail for six years, and there were those two-ish years of COVID restrictions and lockdowns, so… when you add that all together, she becomes younger. And so should we all! I mean, not from jail–she did shoot someone, she should take that L–but we all can subtract two for COVID.
