Ben Stiller Got Into A Debate About Nepotism On Twitter
Tori Spelling. Scott Eastwood. Chet Hanks. Luminaries all, to name but a few. And for every Viola Davis or Sir Anthony Hopkins, there’s an equally gifted entertainer who had to work just a little bit harder to overcome the stigma of nepotism. Or so says Julia Roberts’ Niece (I presume). Film critic Franklin Leonard got the conversation about nepotism in Hollywood popping on Twitter this week when he posted and commented on a press release for a new short film directed by Steven Spielberg’s daughter Destry Spielberg, written by Stephen King’s son Owen King and starring the jewel in the crown of the Robin Wright/Sean Penn Family Players Hopper Penn. Franklin responded to the press release with, “Hollywood’s a meritocracy, right?” And Ben Stiller didn’t think that was very cool.

Julia Roberts is officially a great-aunt! According to E!, Julia Roberts’ niece, Emma Roberts, has given birth to a baby boy. And, presumably, Ryan Murphy is a new Godparent because it would be weird if he wasn’t after all the work he’s thrown Julia’s niece Emma’s way. Why, if it wasn’t for Ryan Murphy we might not even know that Julia Roberts even had a niece!
Ryan Murphy Announced His Next Project Will Be An “AHS” Spinoff Called “American Horror Stories”
When you see AHS:AHS on timeline, it’s not because Elon Musk and Grimes had another baby, it’s because Ryan Murphy cannot chill for even one minute. According to Deadline, Ryan is already promoting a new series called American Horror Stories which is a spinoff of his FX series American Horror Story: Julie Roberts’ Niece. This was all announced on Instagram Live by way of a show called American Horror Story: Pandemic which is just all of Ryan Murphy’s favorite actors trapped together on a never-ending Zoom call.

The next installment of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story: 1984 won’t be released until September, but Ryan’s already got his hair and wardrobe departments working overtime creating some peak ‘80s looks for the cast. And since the cast for season 10 does not include Dame Joan Collins, I’d understand if you skipped this post entirely. However, if you do stay, you will be treated/exposed to Matthew Morrison’s enormous bulge (rubber, I’m sure) almost slipping out of his tiny mustard colored terrycloth shorts.
