Emma Roberts Confirms That She’s Pregnant With Her First Child
Earlier this summer, it was reported that Julia Roberts‘ niece Emma Roberts is pregnant after making a baby with her boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. News that elicited responses like, “Oh wow,” and “Wait, what happened to Evan Peters?” Evan Peters has been out of the picture for a while, and he was replaced by Garrett, who will soon be the father to a child he shares with Emma Roberts. And I don’t have to add “allegedly” or “rumored” to any of this, because Emma and Garrett have come right out and officially confirmed the news themselves.
Emma verified her pregnancy on Instagram yesterday by posting a series of three pictures that show a pregnant Emma wearing this season’s most exhausted fashion choice, the off-shoulder floral-print stretchy-front smocked top (please, millennials and Gen Z, give this poor fashion moment a break. She’s been everywhere on everyone this summer, and she’s tired). In two of the pictures, 35-year-old Garrett sits next to 29-year-old Emma and their unborn baby:
And with her caption, Emma announced she’s going to have a boy.
Page Six reports that Emma’s aunt Julia Roberts commented on her post, writing, “Love you.” Us Weekly says that Emma’s very good famous friend Lea Michele also popped into the comments section and congratulated themselves on becoming, “boy moms together.” They really have had a similar pregnancy trajectory, huh. Not only is Emma working the same maternity style as Lea, but she’s also expecting a boy child too, which will also be born in 2020. If only they continue the same matchy-matchy energy when it comes to naming Baby Roberts-Hedlund. Lea named her son Ever. It only makes sense for Emma to join her child with Lea’s forever, by naming her son “After.” But if that’s just too predictable, my personal vote is for, “Ybodyloves Raymond.”
